even with the slightest bit of paying attention this can be avoided, just run behind the enemies... and even then it happens so rarely, go find something else to complain about.

"Try not. Do or do not. There is no try."
I don't understand how your ideology is even practical. Do you seriously run around the overworld treating this like a game of Metal Gear Solid where you gotta sneak past enemies by making sure you're running behind them? Feels like you just fabricated some excuse to tell someone to stop complaining about something.
"Yeah just make sure you're running past them with their backs turned to you. You gotta wait for them to move a certain distance out of line of sight and then wait for patrols to run back. If it's looking towards you, just wait for it to turn its back to you."
Stop lol. If I gotta go through all that trouble just to avoid a heavy debuff while riding a mount it'd be faster to get off my mount and pop sprint.

the LOS on this game is actually very sensitive... take for instance running into the horrible Natalan area for ixali quest. The enemies can be facing me but have their heads turned away even for a second and the will not argo. Or the stupid frogs in Mor Dhona, simply gliding to the left or right instead of just running through things like whatever.I don't understand how your ideology is even practical. It does not take you dismounting and changing into a gathering class then hitting stealth... just pay attention and don't run right into their face is all i'm saying

Do you seriously just rip through a pack of enemies and think nothing annoying should happen? Travelling in this game has already changed drastically compared to how it used to be, it's so much easier, there's no danger. We should just go back to the old way where you had to dismount and walk the shroud or you'll get one shotted by a tree. Or you had to ride 8 deep through a castrum because if they got you alone they would knock you off your mount, and kill you, Inb4 this isn't 1.0 ect ect...I don't understand how your ideology is even practical. I believe they have been accommodating enough to players on this, heavy is better then knocked off chocobo and dead.
I don't believe some level 40-50 enemies that I can get off my mount and kill in 6 hits and be on my way should be affecting my movement anyways. The system needs to be based on the actual threat the enemy has on you. Even if I walk into the entirety of Sapsa Spawning Ground and aggro a ton of guys I can just get off and AE them while drinking a potion and using a heal spell if need be then be on my merry way, in fact I usually ignore 20 guys shooting at me and continue moving with heavy until the aggro resets and I'm still alive... Maybe if the game took into account the actual threat the enemy poses on you what you said would make sense.
I'm not suggesting we completely remove any sense of threat when riding past hoards of enemies but how about something that makes sense so it doesn't feel like SE is just trolling us by being annoying?

The system is working as intended. If you can dismount and engage the enemy then do it?
Because it's not dangerous. That's what i said.I don't think me running past a sylph in Sylphlands that happens to hit me with thunder and I get a heavy then I continue running with that heavy status and her still hitting me until aggro wears off and heavy wears off and I'm still near full health constitutes "danger".Please don't misquote me again.there's no danger.
Oops I guess I did misread what you said to a point. My apologies as you did mention that there is no danger and I wrote my entire rebuttal in regards to my misinterpretation of your post. It was not my intention to misquote you I'm just blind lol. Still my original point still stands. If it serves no purpose other than to 'annoy you' then why is it a feature at all?
