That's just fine! That's all I was looking to hear! Thank you! Now, we can continue without being jerks?/facepalm
Let me answer AGAIN.
Anima is fine the way it is right now, and it should be reduced after chocobos and airships are introduced. I rarely get below 50 anima because I don't abuse it to go places that I have time to walk to. I save it for those occasions where I need to get to a waiting party right away.
If you don't have time to run to where you want to go, then you don't have enough time to play anyway.
Because it was off-topic. Post this question in a new thread if it's that important to you.
The system is fine as is. The only adjustment that I could possibly see a need for is a decrease in the time period between replenishing anima points. Making something free because someone somewhere (and probably not a majority of the players) may not have time to walk 3 to ten minutes (less time once Chocobo's and airships are installed) is not a great reason. Do you suggest giving everyone an auto-raise to full? I mean, if you are pressed for that much time, it's going to be a real bitch waiting 3 minutes + to unweaken or run back from the node.
No matter what, there is always going to be something that leads to inconvenience, that's just the way it is.
I understand inconvenience, but let's say the usual hangout is the streets of Ul'dah, and someone really needs you and you really need to get to Camp Dragonhead and nobody is willing to teleport you. So, that leaves you with the options of shouting incessantly for someone to spare 3-6 anima for an undisclosed reward or running from Ul'dah to Dragonhead. I don't know exactly how long that would take, but you catch my drift right? The system is fine as is. Given the context of the OP, I'm guessing you are making a motion to completely remove anima simply because it can run out, and then adversely affect the decision to even play.
Given that interpretation, I'd like to say that the solution targets the wrong problem. The problem posed is that travel is inefficient. The solution (which is coming) is mounts and airships. When those arrive, I bet anima problems will be reduced since most people will mainly use it in immediate need situations. It will likely become a resource more valuable to the time-starved solo casual player.
Anima abuse, on the other hand, is a problem that could possibly be solved by the abolition of anima, though I would likely argue against such extreme methods.
Sounds fair.![]()
The topic was on the possibility of removing the anima requirement for teleporting because the OP doesn't want to be bothered with proactively managing his anima usage.
You want a GM to tell you that one person being logged onto two or more different characters at once is a form of cheating (it isn't, or you wouldn't be allowed to do it).
Okay, so until these new methods of travel arrive, why can we not at least have even lesser anima costs? The folks in XI got teleports to all crystals by the lowly level of 41WHM, and the luxury of OP warps, for just a handful of gil per trip.Given the context of the OP, I'm guessing you are making a motion to completely remove anima simply because it can run out, and then adversely affect the decision to even play.

Chocobos are coming in the next major patch. Why waste time tweaking anima if you're gonna have to just change it again in a month or so (hopefully)?
