Bull-crap. Only the most slanted and biased reading of anything I have written in this thread could even come close to the stretch of logic applied by Nyaruko and apparently yourself. The use of the word confirmed means and implies nothing other than to say that the statement I made was a paraphrase (not a direct quote) of what a GM has previously posted. In other words, saying it was confirmed by a GM references the earlier discussions (in August) here on the forum, and the statements made by a GM at that time. After the pretzel logic applied by Nyaruko several times I did post a link to one of the various (and lengthy) hunt topics that one of the GMs has responded to previously. That should be more than sufficient to end this nonsense. Apparently not however...

Got a link for that? The posts in the topic I linked to are quite clear regarding matters such as mark resetting, "early" pulling of marks and griefing. As some have noted, my point (since my first post) has been that the act of pulling the mark is completely, and totally within the rules regardless of how many people are waiting around playing with their thumbs while half the server tromps over. What is clearly against the rules is griefing through harassment, whether that be public shaming or a pattern of deliberately pulling aggro on a mark to reset it, or even deliberately pulling a mark to annoy another player - though the last case would be next to impossible to prove without some kind of communication from the offending party that suggests that is their motivation.

Nyaruko has somehow got it in their head that I support people trolling others in-game - which I clearly do not; that I support rude and potentially harassing behavior in-game - which I absolutely do not. Nyaruko's view of me and my posts appears to stem from their very limited and biased reading of the posts made by GMs on the topic of pulling and resetting hunt marks.

I'm not entirely sure how or why Nyaruko (and apparently you) think I am somehow claiming to speak for the GMs, or claiming to be a GM. When someone says something has been confirmed by a GM, that is not a claim to be a GM, nor a claim to speak for the GM. It's simply referencing the fact that supporting statements have been made by a GM previously - in this case there are multiple posts in the topic I linked which directly relate to what I said had been confirmed by a GM.

The only possible way you could twist what I said into Nyaruko's view would be if there had not previously been statements made on this forum by a GM concerning this subject. If that were the case then making a statement regarding the matter and claiming it to be confirmed by a GM would, at least, be claiming to have spoken to a GM on the topic and been given specific guidance by the GM. I made no such claim. This topic has been discussed at length before and there have been contributions by GM and CM team members.

But here you are keeping it alive, despite claiming that you would rather not be part of it. Good job staying out of something by stirring the pot.
