I haven't done the fight yet but I've heard you can silence Einherjar. I'll get back to you when I know for sure but maybe someone will try it before I get a chance to anyway.

When I 1st entered this fight as NIN i108 and hoping I could farm lights on my novus, we keep failing this several times. After like 5+ fails, I decide to switch to my BLM which already has zodiac weapons. Strangely, the fight went smooth. lol

Its a cake walk as long as people dodge and dps push out as much dps as they could on adds. The first time I did it we failed repeatedly and people kept on blaming us healers for letting them die. Its like it went over their heads that they should be killing adds faster than they were doing. My second attempt went smoothly though, especially with people dodging properly so that the only real damage on going is from the bleed debuff & the big attack on tank (forgot its name).

In the Fan Fest, they mentioned the BRD silencing one of the moves. Apparently nobody knows or forgot, and that's why it gets hard. But if they do it, it's easy.

I heard that in this version silencing/stunning is not possible and you got to deal with the mechanic, but worth testing I guess.

It is definitely not possible to silence that ability.
Neither stun nor silence has any effect on any of his abilities. Just has to heal through every one of them, melee DPS can perfect dodge dmg from gunnir & parry some with keen furry but that's it.
Also, if the party consist of 2 BRD & 2 SCH, top it off with a SMN, you're most likely gonna have a wipefest <.<

I haven't had a chance to try this yet. Is it much different from the one at the fanfest? I remember that one being easy, although it WAS a dps check because they had us in either i100 or i110 gear, and many people don't do very good dps. I didn't even really know the people I was doing the fight with, but the DPS check felt tight at the end. The mechanics, overall, were pretty simple... just gimmicks that you had to learn from doing, which is why most groups didn't clear on the first attempt (15 minute timer... two good attempts, MAYBE three).
With so many extremes being a mechanics battle, I'm okay with one being a dps race once in a while.

Yeah, you can't stop any of his abilities with silence or stuns anymore, so things get hectic fast if healers aren't on top of.the DoTs, DPS ignore the Gungnirs, and tanks don't try to mitigate Sanngetall. Still, I really like the fight; it's simple and damn cool, haha!
Ohh you really can't silence it? Wow. Still fun fight regardless. Seems he drops dark divinity pieces.Yeah, you can't stop any of his abilities with silence or stuns anymore, so things get hectic fast if healers aren't on top of.the DoTs, DPS ignore the Gungnirs, and tanks don't try to mitigate Sanngetall.
