Going to say this for the record as a reminder to the people asking for GL timer buff...
We do not need this. We are the best sustain in the game with the highest DPS due to it, and our weakness is that the buff that helps give us this sustain is easy to lose. This is how we're balanced, so we play better in order to keep those stacks up. Almost every Coil and Primal fight we will lose them at least once. This is to be expected, and nothing to get up in arms about, it's just how we're made.
Also we all should remember, the times we lose GL are also usually the time nobody else can hit the enemy, all classes have to build their DPS back up immediately after those moments. We cannot and should not be the exception to this.
It's not that hard to keep GL3 but it does need you to go out of your way to find out exactly how and it does need some good timing when you find out the exact strats, i.e. T9 Shoulder Tackle to Nael when he dives to someone and hit him, move out to dodge Chariot, move in to hit him again and run back to the tank, unless you have the mark then you tackle in to hit, out to dodge Chariot, then move in quick to land a hit then jump out fast to stack.
Keeping GL3 also doesn't really need 400 SS but having more than the base does help, especially with the game's cardboard servers and their hiccups. You kinda get used to it but there moments where you really can't do anything and they're totally intentional. This is kinda true for every class but especially as a Monk it feels like a lot of fights are designed around them, especially the time their stacks wear out/should wear out and the time certain buffs are up again like Perfect Balance.
If anything the only adjustments they need is making One Ilm Punch and Haymaker useful in endgame, but then again all classes have their fair share of abilities that are somewhat ok while leveling but then become useless after getting a new ability, at least in PvE. I wouldn't mind a ranged stance ability to refresh GL, maybe when Chi Blast is a thing. Fun fact, some NPC Pugilists have a pocket sand ability, since a lot of NPC abilities are analogues to player abilities, maybe they planned it as a PGL ranged skill before they decided it wasn't very Monk like, especially because all other classes without exception have one ranged attack except PGL/MNK.
Better remove the annoying "Stay behind of the enemy" or "Stand at the side of the enemy" stuff o_O
I never ever do this!
Oh and I also never use this very small 5% dmg buff(Ninja has 20%!) from this Fire-Aura (my game isnt in english, no clue the english name :P)
I always has this Aura on that increase movement speed to dodge atks, or running to next target(s)
Make GL drop to the next lower tier instead of falling off entirely, rebalance damage slightly to compensate. There I fixed it.
Look. If you think MNK needs a buff, you need to take a step back and ask yourself if you're playing the right class.
MNK isn't easy.
1) You need to time your actions right just like any other DPS class.
2) You need to understand the timing of AOEs and when it is safe to take the risk to throw in that positional action.
3) You always, and I mean always want to keep moving. If you see a monk that just sits behind a enemy and spams skills like they're a DRG, they're doing it wrong.
There was a time when I wouldn't even use True Strike because honestly, I was lazy and it seemed like too much work... However now I don't even have to think about it. I try and go play tank and my friends has to tell me to stop moving. It's such a fun class and I would be bored af playing a ranged DPS.
If you think DK and Mantra are overrated and you consider them useless.............................. Uh, do you know what they do?
Dragon Kick - Reduces target INT and BLUNT resistance by 10%.
Blunt?? Guess what? Monk uses blunt attacks..
INT? Intelligence. If its a magic attack the target uses, its damage is now reduced by 10% or so.
And you can keep this buff up ALL THE DAMN TIME!
Mantra - Grants a 20% boost in healing magic. Radius: 5(?) yalms.
You know what healers love? Healing more.
Also we don't need a boost in GL duration. Some fights just flat out suck and if you keep comparing different DPS classes to each other then you'll only disappoint yourself because each class is different and best in certain situations, which is the whole point of having different classes.

There's two ways to apply PB in phase 1:People that kick you for dropping stacks at double meteor stream apparently don't know much about monks. She's in the air for about 12 seconds and you have nothing to hit. How exactly are you supposed to keep your stacks? I've never played MNK in Leviathan so I'm not entirely sure on the timing (i.e. whether it's actually physically impossible to keep stacks), but I can see it being really hard to keep GL3 up with all the jumping around he does.
a) Use it at the start like a conventional encounter
b) Save it for double streams
For b, you can maintain GL3 by ending your combo on Demolish prior to the jump. My frame of reference? The woogly-woogly sound the Meteor Stream markers make. Use Demolish just as the second woogly starts. The damage and DoT won't apply due to beta game, but it will refresh GL. When she comes back down you can fire PB and use Snap Punch to lock GL3, reapply DK/Twin and stick a free Bootshine up her can for good measure.
Most recently, I've found use for this trick in t10 when marked for charge.
I won't say this rakes in significantly more DPS than using PB at the start for t9, but it's a good trick to have up your sleeve. You can wring out an extra 1.5s of GL uptime by ending combos on Demolish due to how long the animation lasts (and GL doesn't clock in until the animation is over) then use PB to secure it.
Play Dragoon or Ninja instead.
Part of the challenges unique to monk is the heavy positioning reliance. If you're not willing to you're massively handicapping yourself and should play something else.
Pls no.
It's bad enough watching Ninjas explode trying to do Trick Attacks on bosses and then getting eaten by a cleave.
