"Advertising" Board - Have Devs Ever Addressed This?

I could just use a personal ads category, since most of the time I check PF on my server it's primarily people looking for statics, or statics looking for a rep/permanent member.

And then the option to filter out specific categories, rather than only having the option to either view all, or only view one.

That's fine, those are intended. Crafting and selling, not so much.

You forgot "Refer to Comment" and also under Roles you have Tank, Dps, Healers, and ALL. Seems like crafting, selling, and everything else is included.

SE has explicitly states that players can customized their rules on PF and players need to accept the rules to join, fairness of the rules is not considerated.
SE even told players report If someone violates the rule, GMs will follow-up and take appropriate action.

In other words, ppl can set anything and claim it is the rule. If you don't like it, just don't join it.

Please keep in mind that when it comes to party finder groups, the player who created the party can set up whatever rules they desire, and they are free to enforce those rules.

Party finder is fine the way it is really. Nice little place to advertise even if it's not party related.

If only they had added a search function that let you filter party finder to find what you're looking for. You should suggest that feature!

You can only do one at a time. If I want to possibly farm T8 or T9, or learn T10, and not have to sort through it all I can only pick one which isn't exactly the best way to go about doing it. So it'd be easier to have to look through 10 listings that are at least somewhat related to what is listed, as opposed to 20 with a bunch of randomness thrown in. Instead those other 10 buying/selling things would have their own dedicated place.

No, not at all, because while Grekumah was responding to a thread where people were complaining about the sol bonus showing at the start of a dungeon and people being excluded from party finder parties because of it. He specifically stated that "the player who creates the party can set up whatever rules they desire" with the only exception being a violation of the TOS. So one of two things are going to happen here. 1. they will not respond to this thread and people will continue to do it, or 2. they will respond and tell you the one thing they said before.

That was just an example. So what happens if someone wants to do Shiva (before it was in DF) and T10?


To be clear again, I'm not saying people shouldn't be able to do those things, I'm just saying wouldn't it be better if they had their own place?

-If you want to find a "party" to do actual content = Go to current Party Finder.
-If you want to buy/sell something specific, offer crafting services, whatever = Go to other finder whatever it may be. Call it Open Market or something.

Then you change categories? Or just scroll down the list like normal, non-entitled people who don't demand a feature be tailored exactly to their personal demands?

There are a lot of people who use PF for finding statics, recruiting for statics, advertising various services, and looking for services, in addition to building groups to do specific raid/trial content. PF is the best way to broadcast to the entire server, and you want that to go away just so you don't have to push the down key a few times.
