Are relic weapons ever going to be useful?

Guys get good. Everyone knows you can just farm T13 easily and get your dreadwrym i135 weapon in one go!

It's not really self-earned. You still have to do dungeons which requires a party.

I feel more rewarded getting a good item with friends, than by myself.

I felt good about myself getting the blm armor in 1.0 with a hard quest, than it being handed to you in 2.0.

It's the same practically as relic vs Coil gear. Both get replaced fast with each major patch anyway. So go for the one you can obtain quicker, which is coil.

Sorry, it is Self earned. Solo Q'ing is Solo play. "I" had to do MOST/Almost all steps SOLO to finish this quest. Coil is pointless to " Me" It cant be done alone. Please read "Cant Be Done Alone . And to say it's quicker to get a T13 weapon is a farce. I suspect most saying it haven't cleared T13 let alone farmed it for a weapon. Yeah the relic quest is neat. So many do it for a reason. So many don't do coil for a reason as well and most are those who don't want to have to make a commitment to a static and play weeks on end to clear that content. Only a very small portion of the community have cleared T13. No one in my circles has and a few have only recently cleared T9. The've been doing coil forever and have worked very hard to get where there are. I wish them the best of luck when they get to T13 with drops they'd like to get. And most if not all of them are also doing the relics as well.

I feel the grind for relic is levels is way too time consuming , I don't pay to sit for 2 hours waiting for fates that I need to kill for hunt boards,books etc to pop. I sometimes have only a few hours to play some days.

I don't see the grind getting any better or my being able to see the end game dungeon content so I won't be getting the expansion next year and will go back to WoW which is a much more polished game albeit a bit cartoony where I can play for 2 or 3 hours and see content and accomplish more then grind this for that.

The stupidity of the light grind for relic where you can't even see what you are at only a kinda where you are also needs to be changed, also needing so many and such is also straight up stupid.

Oh...I just know this was coming "Why play a MMO" I love FF14. I hate the endgame Coil heads who think that everything gos thru coil. I love the feel and look of FF 14. I dont like the endgame crowd who hate everyone else. I play for fun. I dont find it fun to replay the same fight and hope and pray the RNG gods give me a weapon. I have 2.5 Nexus weapons. That good enough for me. I pay to play this game, so dont question me about how I choose to play. Mind you're bees wax. Oh, one more thing "You may never get a weapon from turn Whatever" Meanwhile I'll have to 3 higher end weapons to use and enjoy. Have fun in coil. Peace

I play soccer by myself too.
I always play goalie, and I'm the best because no-one has ever scored a goal on me. Ever.
