Months later, bards are the lowest DPS in the game. Ballad and Paeon still penalizes -20% damage to bards for singing for the party. This penalty should be removed. Bards should not be penalized for singing. We should also think about restoring BfB and IR to their original value.

Bards are suppose to focus more on support then damage. Plus, they can continuously throw out attacks from a range, versus the melee , who have to stand near their target and have a larger threat of damage, and casters, who are restricted by cast times and can't move while casting their powerful spells.

Bards are supposed to be the lowest DPS in game with their utility. Give dragoons and blackmages the ability to support the entire group and we can talk about having bard's dps on par with them.

Support which is very useful atm in fcob. Not to mention (I mained BRD for first 6 monthsish of FFXIV) are able to keep up constant damage while moving, something BLM and SMN has to work around, moving=loss of deeps. Or melee which have to deal with all the PBAE (point blank area affect).

A well played BRD will throw out some impressive damage and use ballads when needed without having a massive impact on their damage abilities. Of course not as high as melee for obvious reasons.
