There is no illegal RMT or legal RMT. The strong arm of the law does NOT apply here, only SE's TOS, unless there is some serious money laundering scheme going on thru in game currency.

SE selling service, items, subscription is all about getting in-game stuff for real money, that is SE basic mode of operation. There is no RMT going on there. RMT is when players trying to use SE's system converting in-game value (currency, items, etc.) to real life value (currency, services etc.). That is when it become a RMT.

Just because money, currency, etc. are fungible does not make them RMT. Because if you can not separate this out, then given that everyone knows time=money, then time spent in game is RMT too, which is a ridiculous notion. Have real life money spent/donated/invested(more like lost) in game is not RMT. As long as SE is only allowing players to buy-in and never cash-out it can not be RMT.

Paying SE your subscription is RMT too then. Seriously people, such broken definitions make no sense. As far as the game is concerned, SE is the only place you should be allowed to spend real life money on. Buying stuff from SE is just just SE providing service, items, enhancements, content, all as part of the game. I don't have to like pay-to-win, or the cash shop, but SE selling stuff can not possibly be construed as RMT.
