How dare people use a loophole to get what they want!?
THE HORROR!
if people took the time, maybe I would be able to clear it. but I have run both of those dungeons a total of 12 times apiece. both of them I went in, some idiot dps said "Your going too slow", pulled half the dungeon, I wiped, they said "You suck" and vote kicked me. 24 dungeons total just for those I have been votekicked for not being good enough. I gave up after that, and im a crafter now.you're kidding right ? It takes no skill to clear any of the dungeons. The only prerequisite is to have a brain. And maybe smash buttons when no AoE appears on the screen. i110 HQ just carries you through all of the dungeons currently available unless you stand here AFK in AoEs.
and before anyone asks, I used hunts in 2.3 to gear my chars. nothing else.
Gil =/= skill. time =/= skill, if you spend it that way.

I don't really get the people using the "Well it doesn't matter, they still need skill" argument.
When the cash shop was first announced, they specified "No P2W". By that logic they shouldn't have bothered to specify it, because skill can't be bought anyway... If they felt they had to specify then being able to progress using cash, regardless of actual skill level, is considered P2W even by SE's standard.

Since we're not playing a competitive game/open world pvp game, I don't see how my neighbor afking in Mor Dhona with his ilvl6263263254 gear bought on the MB with $$$ can break my experience. Especialy if he's DPS. Lol, I'll still have a thousand times faster queue than he will ever have even if I'm ilvl 1.
Except for limited ressources like houses, I don't see how a random player buying gils via the shop can ruin FF14 for me.
LOL. "It's not designed that way, but you won't get in trouble for doing it. But please don't do it." You didn't really see that working in your head did you?As you know, the promise wristlets were designed to be tradable so that one person would be able to purchase a pair of wristlets and gift one to their partner.
While the trading and selling of these items for gil is not against the terms of service, in the event this type of trend continues and topics continue to arise regarding whether or not this is considered real-money trading, we will have no choice but to change the design of this system. Therefore we would like players to stop selling and trading the bracelets for gil so that they can continue to be used for their intended purpose.
.
I'm surprised they didn't patch this. I'm sure people will still abuse it, which will only cause another maintenance in a couple days.
Find even one prior to the recent patch. Go on, it should be easy.
Check my join date. Have a think. Then come back to me.
...er, yeah, and the vote dismiss system wasn't designed for players to get out of the 30-min DF lockout for leaving duty either, yet it's been being used for just that ever since it was implemented. Meh.As you know, the promise wristlets were designed to be tradable so that one person would be able to purchase a pair of wristlets and gift one to their partner.

Using your join date to justify anything is absolutely dumb. I'm an original CE holder but never joined the forums until 2.0. Granted I didn't play much of 1.0 and seeing as how SE so confusingly lost my only 1.0 character during free transfers pre-open beta, using your join date is like using your status as a President to justify genocide.
I was full on supporting your comments earlier with silent nods and hitting the like button; but this right here is downright nasty of you. You could have handled it a different way.

I'm honestly happy that some cash shop items can be traded for gil. It means I have a chance of owning them without spending my limited funds while SE still makes a profit. I don't think it's as big of a deal as people make it out to be. I think this is a positive step in the direction of the cash shop, and while I'm still astonished it happened, I'm quite grateful as well.
If you were pleased with the cash shop, bought anything off of it, then upset to learn that others can now get some of the exclusive benefits without spending the real money, I think you need to take a long and hard look at yourself in the mirror and try to figure out how to become a better person. If you were against the cash shop all along and are even more displeased now, I understand and still agree. BUT, if we're going to have a cash shop no matter what, I'd rather have one that I can access with gil.
We're not all upset over this Square Enix, please consider making more items tradable in the future.
