As for the statistics I have no idea where your getting that from all I said in my post is that I personally know people who has unsubbed because of this. Get your facts strait and learn to read before you go nuts making a post.

Nah. I would be ok if they gated all content then, and had different sub packs.
You have your "I like to raid" players, who pay for the raid sub.
You have the "I play for glamour" Players, who play for glamour, for the glamour sub.
You have the "I am a collector" players, who play to collect mounts/minions, for the pets sub.
You have the "I like to rp" players, who get free fantasias and name changes sub.
You have the "I like the craft" players, who get the latest crafting tiers with their sub.

Lock everyone and make it exclusive, I am fine with that. But do not tell me that what I play the game for is wrong, optional, or missing the point of the game.

Everyone gets different subs based on what they think is optional.

You do not need that wedding mount/premium ceremony for your coil runs? Fine, do not have it.
Do I need the latest end-game raid here? No. I am not even going to see it.

might be hard for you to hear but like it or not if you're not trying to do end game raids you don't really matter in their grand scheme right now. the japanese players like to raid and what they like matters much more than the rest of the world. everything else is fluff and it's not changing unless the japanese player base changes. if they raged at player housing and it still didn't change you guys don't even stand a chance.

It's not like I support cash shops but this idea is the opposite of what a cash shop is for. They want money, plain and simple. If people had the option to get items in game with that currency, no one would use cash shop and they wouldn't earn that double dipping extra money a cash shop generates.

Yeah... I have no idea why this guy is needlessly attacking people in this thread. Calling us ignorant and acting condescending. We are attempting to find a middle ground to hopefully satisfy both a large portion of the player base and SE.

I rather they just made cash shop items exclusive to the cash shop only for a limited time - i.e. they will end up obtainable in-game sooner or later.

this runs the same risk i mentioned earlier. money payers get access to the really good stuff for a while, then everybody gets it and then a new shiny good thing comes out so the people that don't pay are always behind. i've seen it happen and if people could always be trusted it would be a fine idea. sadly people can't always be trusted.

So how many percent does the number of forum users actually represents the entire game's playerbase as a whole? So plenty of threads on the forum dislike the cash shop = majority of the whole ffxiv playerbase dislikes cash shop? Why don't you get your facts straight first? You think that your subscription covers and entitles you to every single items in the game. Vanity items mind you, and it's optional. What people are forgetting is that they accepted a ToS which clearly states that subscription is solely for you to gain access to SE's server to play the game. The ToS also covers the part where it states there will be additional charges for additional optional items.

Now, you guys agreed and accepted this terms of service and are now making multiple, I repeat, multiple threads complaining about something you agreed to and accepted. So how's that not condescending?

Yea and you keep up the good work plucking facts and numbers from thin air. The cash shop is here to stay and you accepted the ToS. Paying for subscription doesn't gives you the right of entitlement attitude.

There are people who agree and disagree on the forums.
Just let us find a compromise for all without arguing on things like how many people read and/or write on the forums.
Customer voice is important to the company, as they themselves said many times. What will they do with our voices is of course up to them. Will hearing us get them additional money or not...

Company reputation is as important as products they offer.

Arguments about what do the Japanese think is going to be the main focus is in my opinion wrong too. We do not differ so much as you think. Above that English forum is read by SE too.

Even Yoshi said in one of Live Broadcasts that he likes to read English forums because it gives fresh solutions and ideas too.

Lol I could honestly care less about the cash shop it can come or go makes no difference to me. The thing I'm curious about is why you felt the need to be so condescending twards those who feel like their opinion should be heard. This is the forums in the general section where people post opinions with no hard facts and sometimes they are heard. If you got a problem with that then log off and never return because its not going to stop
