These changes are likely to put DRG on top as dps. These are incredibly substantial.

Agreed. The positionals were what made the class so much fun for me-- you really needed to know the mechanics of a fight and be paying close attention to what was going on at all times in order to be able to play well. Now you can just park yourself on the boss' butt and whack away. Where's the fun in that?

Alternatively, if your tank was a jerk or the mob moved at all, they would consistently screw up your combos, prevent heavy thrust's buff or impulse's combo and then your DPS would tank.Agreed. Sorry, good riddance to bad rubish.

Lowering Life Surge's timer is amazing. Full thrust combo getting 30 extra potency, again, awesome. BFB and Magic DEF up for more survivability. Chaos Thrust getting potency up as well as our DoTs getting increased...the heck is wrong with you? These are fantastic.

Blood For Bloods cooldown is 80s, which means back when Life Surge was on a 60s cd you essentially had to skip a TTT segment of your rotation and not use Life Surge until the next TTT when BFB was up. Now instead of waiting 20s you have to wait 30s. It might be worth exploring using LF outside BFB but before 2.45 I would rather my Full Thrusts crit for 1900-2000 instead of 1300-1400.

I'll be interested to see how people explore alternatives to the past rotations, for sure.Blood For Bloods cooldown is 80s, which means back when Life Surge was on a 60s cd you essentially had to skip a TTT segment of your rotation and not use Life Surge until the next TTT when BFB was up. Hmmmm, we'll see what people come up with.

That's why I said you needed to know the mechanics of the fight, since most bosses turn/move at pre-scripted intervals, such as Melusine in T7. If you know when she's going to turn to throw a fireball, you can prepare for that and adjust your combo/positioning accordingly.

Amen, good riddance. Some tanks even got upset when ask to stop moving the boss so much.
Well they shifted the positional from Impulse Drive to Chaos Thrust but the wording for Heavy Thrust has me slightly confused:Agreed. "Weapon skill direction requirements for the additional effect have been abolished."
Is it lower potency from another direction? This isn't entirely clear. If it it then my complaints will easily be alleviated.
Yeah, how I take that is basically for Heavy Thrust, you can stab the mob wherever you want and still get the DAMAGE UP buff, buf if you wanna maximize DPS and potency, you still would want to use it from the side, but at least you won't get screwed on the buff. that's my way of reading it anyways.Well they shifted the positional from Impulse Drive to Chaos Thrust but the wording for Heavy Thrust has me slightly confused:
