I'm more than in agreement with that, don't get me wrong! But when it comes to old content, when people who are ahead don't really bother with scob pugs and learning parties, I can see where they are coming from. What you described would apply to those who are doing the current tier, but not really with the old one. People get annoyed, trash talk, mock... all that because it's old content, and because it's old it should be ''easy''.

Now, the nerfs were overdone, that I concede. However I saw the echo coming, and reasonable.

I'm in a linkshell and FC filled with aussies and some people are on something called a Playstation 3 and poor connections.

Unfortunately, FF14 is extremely discriminatory with peoples performance and less than stellar machines. There are also people I know who are nice, and make great friends, but for whatever reason just cannot perform. They're a bit slow, or have anxiety, or panic a bit under pressure at things. They're still friends though, so we try to complete content together.

I'm not really sure what else to tell you, there's a lot of people out there, and sometimes I wonder if it is the majority: who just cannot complete this "easy" content like T5 and T9.

Hey, I understand what you mean. Playing on PS3 indeed sucks, I can grant you that. While this might be a solid reason, I don't think that it's the main reason for most. The main complaint I see is not "but but I play on PS3", but rather "but but, I can't play 235258 hours a week and I don't have a static / FC!".

Concerning the other issue you mentioned, well, being slow or anxious or panicky can all be fixed with practice. Unless they're pathological conditions. In that case you fall into the "not having normal eye-hand coordination", as I mentioned earlier. Still, I hardly believe this applies to the majority of players stuck at T5.

What do you mean, "leave"? The fact you can't clear Coil with them does not mean you have to "leave" them. o_O If you mean "would you not bring them in Coil" then no, I would not. This does not mean they would no longer be my friends. I don't see how those two things are related.

because no matter how hard you try, you can't be as good as some others. The limit is different for each one of us, but it's here for everyone.

also, you're being really blind to see problems with bouquet (your example). Last time my group went in T6 for training (we started really late), we got killed by it even before it appeared on screen (be it the pollen thing on screen or cast bar). the order was death > cast bar > reset of the boss > pollen thing on screen. Thanks a lot lag, we owe you one.

This is what I am failing to understand.

I'm perfectly happy knowing I'll never be the very best, like no one ever was. If I cared, I know how to run a FC and have the tolerance to train my team. I have experience running WoW content when said content was progression. Why do I need to be as good as others if I want to have FUN? Stress was a major factor in why anytime I join a FC, guild, whatever, the second line I say is "if you ever decide to do endgame, please don't make me a leader." I just want to relax and be a normal person, neither casual or hardcore, but someone who can lead a group effectively to a goal, whether that goal be a low level duty roulette where I make sure a new person knows the fight, or someone that can give advice on how to handle a scenario.

The example prodived is someone made a static, and would be abandoning it to proceed, yes. You state you wouldn't "bring them" but that is dressing up the exact same thing: dumping your allies for personal gain.

What I don't understand is that leaving the weak behind is nothing new. It happens in every single MMO in which the people who are not up to your skill level are replaced with people who are. Why is it such a big deal here? I really can't understand it.
