Maybe they could nerf it to such an extent that all the arrogant elitists leave the game at which time they bump it back up to more reasonable levels when they are gone. The community would be a hell of a lot happier and peaceful when such people are gone. The elitist part of this community is tiny compared to the majority who are not, SE would thrive with or without them.

The content is around 9 months old, you have both savage mode coils and final coils to keep the elitists busy and challenged. SE are doing the right thing making very old content easier for people to catch up on. People who still want the more extreme challenges can opt for savage or final coils, the only reason anyone would be against this is if damages their clear selling or they are simply egotistical, arrogant or elitist trying to keep people from doing something they have long since potentially surpassed. If you have not cleared it and want the challenge you still have that in the other mode and in the later coils.

Personally I only want to remove the lockout and you can DF SCOB but not echo. But that's how it is deal with it.

Agreed. I only started playing this game about two months ago, so my options for even getting to SCOB were either to wait and hope that I could get enough people from my FC together to work on T5 (which most of them have already passed) or try to PUG it. No one does T5 on PF anymore unless it's a farm party, so that's right out. This way at least I'll be able to join the progression/learning parties for SCOB now and learn the fights on my own without having to rely on others.

Simple, there are people who does not live their entire lives only playing games and just want to experience end game and story, so they don't care if they are late or if they are not that good in raids. They will just wait till it is easy since they have real life issues, unlike some players who just eat/sleep/play all day. This is MMO, if you want to brag your skills go play MOBA or First Person Shooters.

Let's be real though, if people couldn't get through T6-8 pre-nerfs (legitimately trying, those who started late or couldn't find statics obviously don't fall in this category), then they're not going to get through T9, which wasn't nerfed except through 10% echo. Still need T9 to unlock FCoB.

They'll be ready by beating an un-nerfed T9, and echo is hardly a nerf to T9 since as many other raids/trials have shown, echo does nothing to help people survive one shot mechanics.

That's why Turn 9 wasn't nerfed. You still have to get through it and it's not exactly a simple fight - considering it's basically five straight fights that still have instant wipe mechanics all over the place. 10% extra HP/Damage/Healing won't stop a party getting slammed into a wall by Heavensfall, etc. etc.

On another note, I just realised that I now no longer have to spam Syrcus Tower to actually gear up and now have legitimate options. Bitchin'.
