Im all for explaining dungeon mechanics and job mechanics if I see people struggling but what happens most of the time (sadly) is I'm either flat out ignored or insulted/sworn at. It really rubs me the wrong way, I try as best as I can to not be condescending or commanding by adding '' or '^^' at the end or asking if they wanted to tips at their job. If I notice they don't speak english Ill sit there for ages finding basic skills and combos using the auto translate with emotes at the end (to try and show that I'm not just commanding them to use it) but alas, usually ignored.

Here's something I never understood about the player-base on this game: Why don't you ask if they'd like advice first before giving it? It can come across as very pretentious and rude to flat out give unsolicited advice, and adding emotes to the end of it doesn't magically make it better.

Sometimes I'm just having a bad day and let one person die in a dungeon. That doesn't mean I need to be lectured or given advice on how to play my class. I try not to let my bad day get to me, or get snippy with said person offering advice, because that's not right either, but sometimes, advice is just not needed or wanted and I should be able to respectfully decline it. I don't think people ever take the time to consider that. MMOs have become less about communication and more about how to be the very best, and stepping on toes and egos in the process. As someone who has been playing them for 13+ yrs, this change is starting to irk me. People makes mistakes sometimes, that does not mean they are bad or need to be taught things.
