How? Hit B (or circle if you're on a psx style controller) till all the windows are gone. Done. I've done this too.I would be happy if clicking "commence" just put your character back in the same state it was in when you entered the queue and overrides things like open transaction windows, market boards, cuscenes. etc. I've missed a queue before because I was frantically trying to exit out of my retainer, enter my character window, and change my job back. If I'm only on a controller, this is a real pain, one miss-click can really cost you precious seconds.
Lots of people craft to fill time. This wouldn't work for them.

This, so much this.
until you accidentally hit that B/O one too many times because you are trying to catch that timer and the game decides that that extra key stroke was you saying withdraw from que. Have fun waiting another 2 hours.
My Idea for this would be to have the Que tell you with an alert when you are, let's say, tenth in line for your classes que. Having an alert that you are getting to the end of your que line would solve the afk/mid craft/mid battle scramble to hit the button in time much more effectively.

unfortunately that's not QUITE the way the queue works. There's a lot of if-then that goes into the queue from what i've observed, so giving accurate numbers is difficult. That's why the estimated queue time goes bonkers if you add another person to your group. My Idea for this would be to have the Que tell you with an alert when you are, let's say, tenth in line for your classes que. For instance, if you're a BLM and there are no other BLMs, SMNs, or BRDs in the queue but there are 20 ninja, you stand a better chance of being matched no matter when you queue than 19 of those ninja.
