Technically, for publicity and numbers, it usually does. Though I agree. The SE post there was from April this year, long before box sales in China and whatnot.

Not relevant, though Wikipedia has actually been shown to be better than most scientific articles. There's some studies out there about that too.
Quite agreeable, and on that tangent, if you have a link to the studies on that, I would be GEATLY fascinated. I'm a bit of a scholar, and those kinds of research papers are some of my favorite things to read.

My numbers aren't based on a wonderful source, either. its an obfuscated earnings report from SE, with a small font number under the revenue section listed as "Revenue from subscriptions". not great to go by, but they really don't give us a lot to work from.
