This thinking destroys games!

Of course you're okay with this concept as a legacy player.
You were okay with paying for the game when it sucked and no one else would.

MANY of us came AFTER only because they fixed it.

This is how your type always responds:

They start with cosmetics & mounts

"What's the big deal?"

It goes to housing decorations & dyes

"None of it alters game play!"

Then one of these becomes a sellable item and people sell for bank

"You can't buy the best stuff with gil anyway"

Then it's starter gear, exp boosts, etc

"It's only X level, it's not Pay-to-Win"

It would take them selling end game raid gear and I'm not even sure that would convince you!

To be honest, it's truly heartbreaking to us that know what's coming.

Your argument is predictable because everyone before you made the same ones in every other MMO and they were all wrong too.
