Not really, made a successful/happy living in rl thinking ahead; I do not live in a utopia, it is imperative that I Acknowledge various possible scenarios.

You do not believe it is merely a possibility/possible scenario, you think it will happen based on what you keep saying; in your mind you have already made the jump from possibility to certainty. There is a difference. Someone who considers the future as a job or career should know better than that. You have a closed mind on this and forward thinking people in general should not.

If indeed you was a forward thinking person and considered the possibilities you would have said it is possible they might change their mind about vanity only items switching to P2W items too based on what other developers have done but you ruled out all possibilities with exception of the most negative one then jumped on that bandwagon prematurely and prior to it happening by deciding in your mind it will happen despite being nothing more than a possibility...one that is not based on what SE have done but what others have done instead.

Snuggle; yes, yes, I do believe unfavorable things can happen, if I did not, why prepare for the worst? I would have all the answers.

I prepare for the worst, hence believe it is a real possibility/can occur.

Also, you are getting extremely offensive; like i said, I live my life assuming the worst, and have much success; being short-sighted did not get me very far.

One more thing, not sure why I am closed minded when it comes to forward thinking; I refuse to believe we live in this utopia were unfavorable events do not occur.

Ok then, the cash shop will be prefect, ppl will crap chocolate, will be able to leave their front doors open 24/7, no individual will steal or kill, and XIV will be the most successful game ever...Happy?

(Edit: Also, you cannot guarantee it will not happen, hence others will assume it can, nor can I guarantee it will not happen, which is why I am cautious; nobody knows what the future holds).

All these atrocities happened regardless of how much people cried about them up the line. So I guess it is pretty pointless.
And yes. This is just as bad as the insanity that has shaped our world. Fully. Maybe more. Defiantly more.

There was nothing extremely offensive in what I said. Your making a mountain from a molehill in that regard. It is not short sighted to understand there is the possibility they might change direction later of which even I consider possible but also understand they might not, it is however close minded to rule out the possibility that they will keep to their word only putting vanity items in, a possibility you ruled out when you decided it was a certainty they would switch to non-vanity items...not based off their actions but the actions of other developers in their respective MMO's. Let me be clear about this, you made a statement of fact when you said they will switch to adding such items, not they 'might', not it is 'likely' or even 'highly likely' in your opinion but that they will which in reality is not a fact at all.

Well, a friend of mine that was at the London Fanfest said that Yoshi directly addressed concerns over the cash shop. Whether or not we'll change anything is up to the developers naturally. However, if our concerns is obviously valid to Yoshi, then that shows they're being respected to some degree.

SE could at least clarify if these items will still be available for purchase in game during the holiday events. If this is the case then I have no issue with those items being for sale during the rest of the year for those who wish to obtain them.

Best comment here so far. I mean, in the events we get 2 weeks to a whole month to finish. If you can't do it in that time.....

Also I don't want the same rewards as last year so by putting them in the CS we can have more better stuff.

Plus i'll be here to get the seasonal stuff in game. Wont you?

too many people are leaving the game due to a (cash shop) This is a pay to play.
fantasia, transfers, name changes are fine but not ingame items such as mounts past event items. In my experience with past mmos the pay to plays start with selling mounts, pets but then it goes to housing items and more then becomes a free to play some day with a market keeping the game going. I do not want this I know many players that are not happy with it.
P.S. I have the right to speak out like everyone else, I am someone that has stuck it out with square for over 15 years, The last post I made I got in trouble over because I talked about how much I have enjoyed final fantasy for the 15+ years and I was told that was breaking the tos. Be good to your fans SE. And learn some customer service skills asap!

Legacy player here. I could not care less about cash shop. Leave it to vanity and w/e
and things that don't impact gameplay and I don't care.
