Wow on those prices! lol. Remember, just because someone else does it, does not mean it's a good thing.

The prices are definitely something to question if you ask me. Naturally, the cosmetics should be taken out imo (the past event items since they were originally free in game for gil), the horse.. I mean I guess it's ok b/c it's account bound - but that horse was shown in leaked screenshots back in beta 2.0, so meh I dunno.
The fantasias are criminal. They were the exact same price back when they were account bound. I def think those should be lowered since they're now per char, but eh, we'll see how it goes I guess lol.
Seeing how it goes or the "wait and see" stance is always too late, IMO.The prices are definitely something to question if you ask me. 200+ supporters in total. I hope SE takes note that people do care about this issue. I've noticed some of the people arguing against the cash shop have went silent. I wonder if SE's sub numbers dipped with this patch.![]()
I personally hope that SE pulls those items from the Cash Shop. I've seen the mounts around, but none of the past event items. Even then, I've heard complaints on the prices in game. I don't understand why there can't be a compromise set between SE and the players. Offer the items in the game during the event, then sell them during the off season. There will always be those impatient players with extra income who prefer getting what they want now over waiting a year.I also prefer the system where previous years' event items are available for in-game currency rather than an official RMT store.
Because minions, mounts, and outfits are frequently used as quest rewards in FFXIV, putting them into an official RMT store feels more like a pay-to-win scheme, even if they don't offer ability bonuses. I'm less concerned about subscriber rewards because anyone who plays the game will get them automatically over time.
I think the prices for the old content stuff are silly.
But since I am a event nut when I am able to play during events. I have all of them anyway. And if somethings so awesome I think I need it, I would buy it.
Pumkin heads and bed sgeets don't belong to this.
I totally agree, especially considering these items were free in game. I think it's interesting how there's been a significant outcry about the cash shop and mods have yet to comment in either one of the threads. I assume the idea is to hope this will just slowly quiet down, but I feel that's pretty disrespectful to the players who have supported this game through some pretty dark times. I understand the company wants to make money, but surely there could be a compromise made.
this is like 1,000x more reasonable then what they're currently doing. lol i like to about crap a brick when i seen those pumpkin heads cost $3 each. SE must be really hard up on money or something. i have no clue, but $3 is a bit too much. but this is what happens when we let them get away with things like the $2 retainer fee's. There's no stopping it now.Disagree with my post? Please comment and explain why! Perhaps you feel this isn't a huge deal. Let me offer this option then.
Please SE, provide past content items in game during the event as you have in the past to be purchased. During off season provide these items in the cash shop for set prices ($5 per yearly event set: example - $5 = 4 pumpkin heads, $5 = both ghost costumes, etc).
Thank you
If you support this idea please like this post and share with your friends on twitter, in game, facebook, and where ever else.
Thanks so much for your response! I definitely agree that the prices themselves are completely unreasonable. Although I still disagree selling free items for cash, I wouldn't have been so ruffled if the prices were a bit more reasonable. If they want to charge for these items why not charge per set? All pumpkin heads are worth 5$, both ghost costumes 5$, etc.this is like 1,000x more reasonable then what they're currently doing. lol i like to about crap a brick when i seen those pumpkin heads cost $3 each. I've spoken to more people in game about this situation, and many players are completely ignorant that these items were available. Each person I've spoken too (despite the ones that vehemently claim they don't care about vanity but have glamours, doh!) exclaimed their disbelief at the prices. Although many players prefer not to get involved, that doesn't mean they're not affected by this show of bad business. This is a sure fire way to turn off consumers without even knowing about it.
