Well, you compared this to CoP, so now I know enough. Ahahah
"Broken" indeed, oh man.
Agree with the stats need fixing, but dungeons are fine, they are totally fine. If you keep failing the Ogre, remember that its only been a few days since patch.. people are still formulating strategies, finding out the right class/action/trait/gear combinations, getting used to the new MP management and battle system as a whole etc..
really, fighting the Ogre was the first time that I actually felt like playing Final Fantasy in XIV ever since open beta.
Also with good coordination its not impossible to defeat the Ogre, last time trying we brought him down to almost half of his HP

Ah, so the truth surfaces finally. Face it, you just aren't as good a player as you might think you are. PW was just INCREDIBLY difficult in his infancy. CoP (original) difficulty was PERFECT, nothing was broken at all. None of those were broken. You wanna talk broken or downright insane, why not bring up pre-nerf Absolute Virtue? Though I'm fairly sure most recognized him as SE's untouchable baby and was mostly a joke boss never meant to be defeated.it should be hard but it shouldn't be broken. Also, just because people can complete something doesn't mean that it isn't completely broken. PW was completely broken. A few of the COP missions were completely broken. People could complete them, yes, but they were completely unbalanced.
The r50 dungeon difficulty is comparable to that of early CoP. It needs no adjustment at all except perhaps making it harder for ARC/CON/GLD setups. Though some people still prefer the easy route in hard content so that doesn't really bother me.
looks like another elitist here. Look, I'm not looking for an easy route because I've been one of the ones asking for challenging content from the start, but I honestly don't see how to get past a room full of AoE spamming mobs, most of which can't be killed, unless by just pure luck. ENM generation on cures is completely broken. Stats don't work properly and there is absolutely nothing in the game that prepares you for a room full of AoEs that will 1 shot just about any mage. But, obviously you will take the side of the "this isn't hard" people because you, with quite a bit of luck, finally completed it. Good job. I'm happy for you, but that doesn't change the fact that something needs to be done about the rate of skill use by those mobs. At least make the ghosts killable -.-Ah, so the truth surfaces finally. Healer strike is ridiculously foolish and accomplishes nothing
That's the whole challenge of the fight, not getting hit by ogre AoE's and avoiding the ghosts. Once you know what you're doing there is zero luck involved. If you took out the ghosts the fight would be a total joke.
I don't get it then. You say you wanted challenging content, why are you complaining. The dungeons are hard, but not impossible, not a by a long shot. The final boss was defeated in under 48 hours by a number of linkshells. If anything, it's not hard enough.
hmm funny because I've tried standing just about every place in that room and I always manage to get hit by something.

Not at all, I see the potential in you, but you are never going to meet it if you keep blaming others for your own shortcomings.
I'm not the only one here trying to speak some sense into you, yet you keep refusing to listen to any of us. It is telling.
100% truth. Avoiding the Chain Bearers WHILE fighting the Ogre is a major point of the battle. Timing, positioning, hand-eye coordination, communication, party composition, all there. Finally, some tactical requirements in a battle.
practice more, really. I felt exactly like that at first, but after coordinating positions and using strategies like you would in a real fight, we actually last long enough to bring him down to 50%.

We need the removal of physical levels, jobs added & stat algorithm changes. That would clear alot of this crap up.
