The reason Atma should get nerfed is because its SO EASY now to get something almost as good. Getting a UAT is a joke, and 1300 Soldiery is not that difficult to amass.

1300 Soldiery = 3 weeks, no way around that (at the moment)

The point of my post what to bring to your attention that atma farming is neither easy or difficult. It is just pure RNG. The two posts above showed that it can be done in a relatively low amount of time, however RNG shows that it can also take a relatively long amount of time. In your example you said that you can farm for a soldiery weapon in 3 weeks and that atma can be farmed in 3 weeks as well. The first most certainly holds true, but the atma part is not definite. You have no way of knowing. Therefore the soldiery option is the most reliable and 100% certain to be done in those 3 weeks. Really I just want to stress to you that atma farming is not easy or difficult, again its pure RNG.

And RNG also means the entire server never makes another Tier III materia again meaning no-one will ever get another relic. It's statistically unlikely, but possible. Just like putting in three weeks' worth of FATE farming and not getting a full Atma set.

Of course, that goes without saying. But you can't just say "It's pure RNG" and imply that means we can't make decent predictions about incidence rates. The odds of someone spending 4 hours a day for 3 weeks hitting every FATE that pops in their zone and not getting a full set of Atma is tiny. Exactly how tiny, we don't know because we don't know the drop rate (appears to be 4-5% depending which sources you use) but for 99% of the population you can rule it out.
