Sure not. I cannot give you overall Numbers. But you can look how many do have the PSN achievement.
The actual number is 7.70%

This game has a significant PC population. That number is worthless.Sure not. I cannot give you overall Numbers. But you can look how many do have the PSN achievement.

Significant PC population that is maybe just a bit larger than PSN players. That number wont change much if you just put all the platforms together. Even if it goes as high as 15.40% still is a considerable low part of the playerbase.
Coils need the Story mode.
No it isn't. This game is not played on PSN by very many people. The US market has been stated by Yoshi to be heavily weighted towards PC. Again, that number is worthless.Significant PC population that is maybe just a bit larger than PSN players. That number wont change much if you just put all the platforms together. i think we should also unlock end story cutscenes in the inn for people who dont have time/skills to level up to lvl50![]()
I'm almost 100% sure this does NOT include the Japanese PS3/4 players.Sure not. I cannot give you overall Numbers. But you can look how many do have the PSN achievement.

This “community” is really strange sometimes. The minority who do Coil regularly and are able to proceed just do not like it if other people can see the same things they see, even if there would be no loot but only Story and Lore.
Face it, most people who stepped into second Coil find T5 easy. But for the majority, even with Echo, it really isn’t. Just because you find something easy, please do not assume that it is the same for all others.
Once per month I join T5 training parties to help but guess what? The vast majority still struggle with it and wouldn’t make it to Phase 2 on T6 or any other turn. But when these people come to the Forums and complain or ask for something, all they read is “it is easy, just do it” or “what, even with Echo you can’t do it?” Stop denying reality.
How can it be your concern (if you are into Coil non story-mode) that other players would like to at least enjoy the story without having to train weeks for each turn? Is there only one way – your way – to proceed in Coil? How would a separate Coil mode disturb you? Maybe a Story mode would raise interest for some of the players who so far avoided it?
All I take from some of the answers is, “I bashed my head against the wall to see the cutscenes and so should others”. Childish much? I get it when you have invested lots of time into something and you do not want it to be handed out on a silver plate to others. But just asking to be able to enjoy the Coil story is a no-go without wiping for weeks in each turn?
Coil has a huge portion of Story and cutscenes and I can understand the desire to see it on your own without having to invest weeks of training. Why can’t some of you? Because you learnt it the hard way and so should others I guess. Making your standards everybody else’s standards is like a 10 year old child in a sandbox not wanting his playmate to use his precious shovel although he doesn’t need it at the moment.
Let's be real please. My friend Audacity asked me to post this, as he has hit his forum post limit for the day:
I may have a solution for you OP:
According to your lodestone, You cleared Turn 5 in April. So therefore. If you want to view your cutscene so badly, you can do so from the comfort of your inn room.
But it begs the question, How the hell did you forget that you killed Twin 6 months ago, And why have you made a thread begging SE to let you have an easy kill when you in fact, Killed this fight without echo and when the lockout was still in place?
It could only mean a couple of things
1: You're not the original owner of your account
2: You got massively carried or had ingested a large amount of foreign substance during your turn 5 kill.
To be honest I'm not sure what's worse, Not being able to kill Twin with Echo or the above 2 points.
Or maybe you're just the best troll ever and have managed to lead a large number of people on for 26 pages. Which in that case. GG, well played, Thanks for coming.
Enjoy your cutscene!

First of all, yeah I have beaten T5. Long ago. Though echo was here (I didn't get the chance to practice it long before 2.2 and we had no will to hit our heads on the wall removing echo. our choice). Yet I am asking for a story mode not for me (on T5 at least), but for all those players who don't have my luck/partners (they all scattered a few days after that kill) or even skill (for what I'm worth). Also I talked about story mode for all the coil eventually, not handed out right off the bat.
Then now, in which way is my lodestone profile relevant to the matter ? I beat T5 already so I have no right to say some people find it too hard ? Or I didn't beat T6 so I have no right to ask for hand outs ? Please enlighten me on that.
Because everyone knows how much PS3/PS4 players are all baddies and can't ever achieve a single thing in this game, thus their numbers (which are percentage, not mean numbers, mind you) are totally irrelevant to the matter
/sarcasm
These numbers would be accurate, if they weren't about all the games ever bought on PS3/PS4. It does not remove the people who left from the equation.
This number is "total players who beat T5" divided by "total players who ever played the game", THUS not totally relevant (because it cannot reflect the actual player base at the moment).
However, your counter argument is irrelevant because you ignore the fact that percentages based on a significant portion of players carry on to the whole player base. I'm not even talking about the fact that is there are more PC players than PS3/4, there are also most likely way more PC players who left (if you only look at raw numbers).
While it may be true, that doesn't mean JP players are god-like skilled and have a much higher rate of completion. Doesn't change the point I addressed above.
Edit :
Also for whoever talked about 2k people clearing SCoB. If I recall correctly, the number of active players is around 500k. That makes 0.4% of the player base having access to the new content when it comes out. See the problem for those who want to experiment the story ? Currently (assuming these numbers are somewhat accurate), you'd lock 95% (let's take a huge error margin of 1000%) of the players out of it.
People talking about a waste of development time, which is the worst ?
=> content with some of the mechanics cut off (little development time, 100% of the game population can beat it or be carried hard through it like HM primals now. They won't have access to regular mode so they won't damage your "capable sphere" for upper hand content, and if they manage to come they would have deserved it with a regular kill).
=> regular content requiring 6 month of development time that 6 month after less than 5% of the player base will even have access to.
I may be wrong, but desert content is more of a waste of development time if less than 50% of the player base had ever access to it.

There is a lot of people in this thread that don't know how samples and populations work... need to study more statistics guys.
(A sample of 54k over a population of 2.5m is more than enough for an estimation, think that vote intention surveys over populations of 18M are done with 1.5k - 2k samples... juststatisticthings)
