Story Mode Players

With all the negativity floating around, I want to hear from the people who called for a story mode raid and how they feel this has been implemented.

Because with all the complaining, SE might think people didn't just ask for a Coil Mode Easy (and they might just go back to making only hard stuff, which will spawn more threads here in turn).

Story Mode request with over a hundred upvotes, if you will.

Havent made it to Alexander yet but I'm really happy there is a story mode for it. I didnt even care if there was no gear (glad there is though), I just want to experience the story contained within. Then, when I want a challenge, I will get a static together to challenge the Savage mode for better loot. I wish they did this with Coil but its kinda too late now. I'm from 1.0 and really wanted to see the story in Coil but have never been able to get a group together for it. Once I'm endgame 3.0 with good gear, I will once again attempt to do Coil.

I only hope that the Savage mode Alexander will be the difficult challenge that other players are looking for. Unfortunately there will still be those who complain, No matter what someone does there will be someone else who isnt happy with it. You cant please everyone all the time.

I feel like they made this raid a little too hard for casuals.
Should have kept it dungeon-level difficulty
Especially level 4

I enjoyed it, perfect difficulty for me. Can't say I have much complaints, although the story was incredibly boring. The Illuminati just don't compare to the Allagans and Bahamut.

I believe the the current difficulty is perfect people are clearing it and seeing the story and as a raider they have listened to the community. Honestly, its better they listen to the people who don't play often and want to see the story because they pay most of the bills compared to hardcore players (perfect example of hardcore cant pay the bill is Wildstar).

Odds are that the people who really wanted a story mode for raids are not ilvl 170 yet and can't even enter yet.

i tried it with df two times but duty got vote abandond two times before i even was able to take a swing at the boss ;p but other then that, PF is already full with entrys like "kill group only join if xp in las phase" and a whole bunch of farmgroups.. i have the feeling its faceroll content because of that, but in three days i can login and play again so then i'll try to enter alexander again and see for myself

It is first day so complaints are expected. People seem to be mad at the fact that the story raid loot system does not cater to them, they need to understand square did not have to make a raid for casual players like myself and others for the story. Coils never had a normal mode and we were still happy for the time. This is for our benefit and something square did extra for us. We also asked for this.
