Development time wasted on giving people something they can watch on youtube, which could have gone to something useful.

I don't raid, so from my point of view the next turns of coil are a waste of development time that should have gone toward housing.

For many people 50% echo with i120 would not help them, so I don't see anything wrong with a story/no loot mode, so they can go through the story.

I don't see why people who have the kill should care, unless they are trying to sell the kills...

It's likely that the "some of us" that you are referring to is actually a very, very small minority. Which leads me to believe they (SE) don't have any intention of doing this. If they did care about the small minority, Atma would be changed already or lockouts removed, which are more complained about topics.

This is obviously a bad example but you see the point. Remove things just to make sure anyone can reasonably have a chance to do it without the dedication needed for regular coil and that's it.

I think this is what they might do for 2.4 as to push any of those who are behind into Second Coil. For which they might stay until 3.0 when they nerf both Second and Third Coil to push any slower players into new content.

What good are 'friends' if you can't be honest? I'm in a static with a healer buddy and if he does something bad, I tell him, and if I mess up, he tells me. I tell my own husband that he needs to improve if he's not doing what he is suppose to.

I'm not going to lie to someone and tell them they are doing good when they aren't, friend or not. If you can't be honest with your friend(s) then what kind of friendship is that?

Back to OP: Doesn't bother me either way, if no loots and no unlocks, then it shouldn't effect anything/anyone.

some just want to play with friends, without the stress of the results. There are no leaderboards in FFxiv. Things should be done for fun rather than for the sake of doing them. Yet again, if your fun is to clear shit, you can go full force at it

I haven't cleared second coil cause I haven't even tried. I beat T6 then stopped doing it cause other games came out. Haven't even entered T7 . If I wanted to, I'd join a learning party and get my wins like if done for every other fight I've cleared.

That's the reason I made it. I don't begrudge raiders from having coil or others having content that I don't play. This game isn't about a single play style and without the variety, none of it would exist. I get sick of the raiders uber alles crap.
