    I wish to reserve a post here, as I cannot post my fight concept at the moment thanks to work. Can I do that?

    Also, are we only allowed one fight design per person?

    Editing with one of my concepts:

    Thanatos: The 7th Circle

    Phase One (100%-85%)
    Thanatos will cast the following abilities over the entire fight:

    Death: Thanatos will cast Death after 15 minutes have past, killing all party members instantly.

    Doom: Thanatos will cast Doom on all party members at the moment he is engaged. Doom will count upwards at a rate of 10 per second (or 30 per GCD, whichever works). Players must purge the stacks by activating an Altar for the Dead. Resetting Doom will cause all party members to take damage equal to the amount of Doom stacks used up, as well as adding an extra mark for all marks placed by Thanatos' other mechanics.

    Reaper's Scythe: Thanatos strikes his target with his scythe, dealing heavier damage and placing a debuff that lowers their health by 10% for 30 seconds. Reaper's Scythe can stack up to four times on the same target.

    Fate Intertwined: Thanatos will mark two random players and link them together after a delay. As long as the tether is active, whatever damages, heals, buffs, or debuffs one player must have the same effect on the other. If another party member walks through the tether, they will also be Intertwined.

    Severed Fate: Thanatos marks a random player and strikes at them after a delay. This strike will remove Fate Intertwined if they are connected to another person. Severed Fate will deal more damage based on the amount of people that were Intertwined.

    Thanatos' rotation would look like: Doom -> Reaper's Scythe -> Fate Intertwined -> Reaper's Scythe -> Severed Fate -> (Repeat from Reaper's Scythe)

    Phase Two (85%-70%):
    Thanatos will continue using these new abilities until the end of the fight.

    Death's Caress: Thanatos debuffs a single party member for 12 seconds. When the debuff ends, that member will take all but one of their maximum health as damage.

    Death's Embrace: Thanatos marks all but one random party member with Death's Embrace, locking them in place, and spawning an Idol of Death somewhere in the room. The Idol will begin casting Death's Claim, and can only be stopped by being touched by the random member. If the Idol finishes casting, all party members will be inflicted by Brink of Death for 45 seconds.

    Thanatos' Rotation will now look like: Reaper's Scythe -> Fate Intertwined -> Reaper's Scythe -> Severed Fate -> Reaper's Scythe -> Death's Caress -> Reaper's Scythe -> Death's Embrace -> Repeat.

    Phase Three (70-30%):
    Thanatos will use the following new abilities until the end of the fight.

    Inevitability: Thanatos chooses a random DPS and marks them with Death's Chosen, while spawning a Doom Totem behind them. The totem can only be damaged by that DPS, and they must kill it within 20 seconds. If they fail, the speed at which Doom counts up will double.

    Creeping Death: Thanatos will sweep his Scythe across the battlefield, dealing 20% of all party member's maximum health as damage to them.

    Thanatos' rotation now looks like this: Reaper's Scythe -> Fate Intertwined -> Reaper's Scythe -> Severed Fate -> Creeping Death -> Reaper's Scythe -> Death's Caress -> Reaper's Scythe -> Inevitability -> Creeping Death -> Reaper's Scythe -> Fate Intertwined -> Reaper's Scythe -> Severed Fate -> Creeping Death -> Reaper's Scythe -> Death's Caress -> Reaper's Scythe -> Death's Embrace -> Creeping Death -> Repeat.

    Phase Four (30%-0%):
    Thanatos will gain one final ability until he dies.

    Purge: Thanatos will purge all Doom stacks on players, and double the rate at which Doom stacks after each cast.

    Thanatos' final rotation will look like this:

    Purge -> Reaper's Scythe -> Fate Intertwined -> Reaper's Scythe -> Severed Fate -> Creeping Death -> Reaper's Scythe -> Death's Caress -> Reaper's Scythe -> Inevitability -> Creeping Death -> Reaper's Scythe -> Fate Intertwined -> Reaper's Scythe -> Severed Fate -> Creeping Death -> Reaper's Scythe -> Death's Caress -> Reaper's Scythe -> Death's Embrace -> Repeat until dead or Death.

    ...Geez that was longer than I intended. Anyways, the whole thing of Thanatos is all about coordinating with your team and taking down this mountain of a boss. As you can see, there's barely any adds in this fight, so a majority of the battle is spent wailing on him, and he still has a 15 minutes hard enrage timer. This guy has a lot of health, and it will take a few manual and automatic Doom purges to get through him. However, the more Doom stacks you purge, the harder the fight becomes, as he slowly increases the amount of people he hits with his abilities.

    The best strategy I can think of for this guy is to learn what he does (obviously), spread out for Fate Intertwined, and make sure all marked targets have shield on them (as most of his marks cause some kind of damage thing to them). The name of the game is patience and keeping your cool as the fight gets more and more difficult.

    Loot dropped from this guy would obviously be death-themed, and most likely weapons, with White Mages hopefully getting his Scythe as their staff! The weapons would be equal or better than whatever you could buy from whatever tomestone is available at that time (i.e: If Thanatos was in right now, the weapons would be i110).

    K, I'm done. Thanks for the awesome contest!
