She has found an ancient spell that will allow you to summon a full fledged Primal for the duration of your battle against your relic, you may select which one shall fight by your side, unfortunately the spell comes at a great cost, so the primal can only fully obey you at half it's former strength. Once selected, all you need to do is summon your Egi of the primal you chose, and use the items given to you by Y'mhitra in order to use the Primal itself. When the Primal has reached 0% HP, it will revert back to it's Egi state and you will need to continue the battle as such.

Reward: The Veil of Wiyu Zodiac.

    Emperor Mateus: The Twin Thrones

Two teams of eight in a mirrored battlefield split in two by a transparent barrier. The two bosses, the Light Emperor and the Dark Emperor move completely mirrored to each other as players fight each boss and each share enmity and HP. As an extra twist, when AoEs are used, the warning circles actually appear on the opposite battlefield than the one it actually triggers on (i.e. When the Light Emperor casts an AoE, the AoE circle actually appears on the Dark Emperor's side before it hits on the Light Emperor's side).

    Attacks:

Holy/Dark Graviga - Pulls all players within the AoE towards the center of the AoE, stuns them for five seconds, then explodes, shooting all affected party members to the farthest edges of the arena and inflicting high damage.

Light of Salvation/Damnation - A Line AoE that takes up the center 33% of the battlefield.

Pacification Sigil - An aura that surrounds both Emperors, inflicting Pacification on anything that enters the field. Pacification cannot be removed by Esuna or Leeches while player is in the Sigil.

Meteor - Several small AoEs pop up around the map, inflicting 8000+ damage each.

Starfall - A barrier erects around both Emperors as he starts casting Starfall. Also summoned are two Comet Sigils (which can be destroyed), which fire small comets at random targets, stunning random players regardless of enmity value. The barrier is breached after inflicting 10,000 damage to it. Dealing at least one point of damage to either Emperor will cause Starfall to interrupt. Otherwise, Starfall inflicts 99999 damage to all players.

Starfall XIV - On the attack that would take out either Emperor, that attack would instead leave 1 HP as both Emperors erect another barrier around themselves. 50,000 damage is required to take out the barrier this time, and eight Comet Sigils spawn. A Melee LB3 is essential to take out the barrier, and dealing that last point of damage will defeat both Emperors simultaneously. If the barrier is not breached in time, Starfall will inflict 99999 damage to all players, ending the battle.

    Strategy:

The Main Tank holds enmity for the entire fight. As both Emperors mirror each other's movements, only one main tank is necessary despite two bosses being present. The Off-tank acts as a scout, using field markers to mark where AoEs are about to hit on the battlefield.

DPS wail on the boss until Starfall Phase, in which they start attacking the Comet Sigils to prevent stuns, then they return to wail on the Emperor's barrier.

Healers and casters should try to remain light on their feet and focus on short-cast spells when possible.

Do not use LB until Starfall XIV phase, and even then, they should take out the Comet Sigils before attempting an LB.

    Rewards:

    Weapons:

    GLD/PLD: Firion's Freedom
    MRD/WAR: Guy's Gusto

A little different - you're not in a dream world you're able to build up and run multiples. There's GC story involved & it can even be implemented as a dynamic(lolFATE? Besieged Campaign hurp..) event. The combat and mechanics would obviously be different - just the idea of a city raid and Job/Class related rewards based on where you were raiding.

I mean honestly - Coil is just like Limbus right? You get items to upgrade gear you get outside of it, you get gear from bosses, and you get a small amount of currency you can use to buy gear. Each instance has some trash and a boss that drops shinies in a floor by floor climb... oh just like Nyzul...

    Reinventing the wheel or whatever.

I think elements like having a boss fight that consists of wave after wave of mobs is fun - similar to farming trash and time farming in Dynamis - similar to Turn 4 and Turn 3 (lol) and Job fights would be fun because they indirectly could teach players to recognize their fellow party members abilities.

As far as any fight goes in this game at the moment; If you're a tank - it likely requires you be able to count to 2 or 3 and then use Provoke. Wahoo! EX: Garuda EX, Titan EX, Ifrit EX, Moogle EX, Ramuh EX, T6, T2...

    <_<;

I think they really ought to bring back Faction leves and Hamlet and Skirmish from XIV 1.0 while they're at it.
