I like to play "fists classes" in every mmo I play.
Monk seems cool with healing ability, that fists instances and gap closer abilities. But turn me down the fact you need to reposition yourself every skill to max dps.
I got 3 skills right now, and it seems just... Not cool. I will reroll a dragoon: I can bear 2 reposition skills, but not my whole combo.
So... What do you guys (active monks) think? Reposition get better and interesting endgame? ( I'm really trying to change my mind... If not, I will just reroll tonight ^^)
You just get used to it. It becomes second nature, just like the rotation itself. I found it frustrating while leveling, because every time I got a new rotation skill, I had to retrain myself when I'd just started getting used to it. But after a while at 50, it's just part of the rhythm. I enjoy it now. Other classes feel a bit slow and static (I'm working on BRD as my second DPS class now because at least if my fingers get bored I can randomly run around a bit).I got 3 skills right now, and it seems just... 10 posts per page is only the default setting; it is bad, and you should feel bad if you haven't changed it.

Sure it's annoying while you level since you don't have someone to position the mob away from you in solo content, but at end game the positioning will be second nature as Bixby said. I like the extra feeling of activity it brings to endgame content though. In many MMOs you'll just stand in a single spot aside from dodging mechanics and do your rotation. So having something a bit more involved is fun in my opinion. It adds a layer of complexity to some fights where the party and tanks may have to reposition often so you learn how to anticipate movement. I find over all the increased movement we have to do on top of dodging mechanics generally makes you quick at reacting to movement based mechanics. I wouldn't change our positional requirements at all.I like to play "fists classes" in every mmo I play.

Ever since 2.3ish, i've been noticing Dragon Kick not showing up at all(and yes, i'm in opo-opo...) even on bosses where the "debuff cap" isn't reached. I've been trying to point this out to other people, but they haven't noticed. Here's a video:

Anyone else experienced this? This ONLY happens with dragon kick.
You just came out of perfect balance. You have no stance, therefore you cant apply the Dragon Kick debuff
I've also played mnk in many moms I've played. Gw1 wow ff11 EQ and all of them r static.
Thanks for the answers @bixby and @Ricdeau.
I understood your guys point, but yeah... Even enjoying fist classes, Monk mechanics is not attractive to me ^^ I will reroll to dragoon.
Thanks!!
