Ah, been a while... lol. I still didn't do that myself, but what I did do was intentionally trigger the aoe while I was doing the final combo so that I'd be safe when I went to the rear.
Either way, extra movement is involved, so I suppose it doesn't matter.

Yeah what Lawena said. Back then I would get clip by her tail cleave when I go to rear for boot/true. So what Isis was just going flank rear flank rear. It was a lot of movement but I didn't mind it a don top of that lol my hands had mind of each and it pretty much knew what bottons to press. We'll today I ran my monk for the first since last yr November and I tell u what my dots buff dbuffs and positioning was all bad, my gl3 keeps dropping. It feels like I just started playing mnk, it was so bad. Been running drg so much and trying to complete novus.
Now that 2.3 has been out for a while, what seems to be the MNK BiS, there seem to be a few floating but I haven't seen an update on here since the initial 2.2 release IIRC.
Nothing changed for monks.
Except stun durations.

Yes, you are right, only in pvp.
By the way, I want to write another section in the OP. Basically it aims to provide some numbers for people who want to check if they are doing thing right or not. I think it is a good idea but maybe you have some other point of view. So basically, I would do the following things:
1/ Provide dps numbers on dummies: this allows for a quick check. Need to be extremely clear on the conditions where the numbers were obtained. I would take as conditions:
- Dummy lvl 50 at Coerthas
- No food (passive buff, does not change the way you play), no str pot (quite expensive for a training, if someone wants to train with the potion in the rotation they can just use some low level mana pot for instance, you know the ones you don't know what to do with)
- Weapon ilvl and overall ilvl, stats
- details on what you are doing (typically clipping the DoTs or not, if yes when...) and opener also
- dps number (or damge done for what it matters here), critical hit rate during parse (for RNG), duration of the training until out of TP and parser used.
2/ Provide the breakdown of the skills (if you can, separate DoT from direct damage for DoT skills) and AA... It is more detailed but I think it would allow people to check (at least a little bit) what they are missing or even they can see if they doing things differently if the breakdown is different.
What I am not sure how to check is the use of CD: how would you check if the CDs are used correctly (as soon as they are available) with a parse?
Can anyone perform some tests also and give their own numbers?
PS: fucking 1000 char limitation.
PS2: also if you have other tips on specific fights, it is great to share.

Ok, So I did some theorycrafting regarding Perfect Balance (PB) usage; in situations where you want to add more dps and do not require PB for getting GL 3 up in the near future.
Do note that this requires a certain amount of Skill Speed (SS); for my case I used 398 SS to do the math. At the rate where 1 SS value is = -0.000952 GCD. This stacked with 3 stacks of GL, should reduce the GCD to around 2.07 sec.
To make sure you can do this while keeping up all buffs and debuffs up, PB has to follow up a specific set of abilities; these are Dem>DK>TW.
The full rotation is the following (including the setup):
Dem> DK > TW > PB (oGCD)> BS > BS > BS > SP > DK (PB ends) > DK > TW > Dem
If done correctly none of the buffs DK, TW, GL should drop. Demolish should drop off just as it is to be reapplied. I will do some testing with this, but can someone help me verify if in a ~4 min parse, sneaking this is at ~3 mins if it has any impact on the overall dps.
Thanks in advance.
You cannot begin with Dem without PB.
i've been thinking about this as well. there are rare times where my PB is up while i'm at gl3 with no risks of dropping it anytime, wondering if i could somehow use pb not as an opener or recovery move but more of a dps move. too lazy to come up with one though. guess ill give this a spin sometime.
