To be fair, they also explicitly said they would and would not do many things. And then we got version 2.0 of the game. Nothing is set in stone.

Um, we got 2.0 because the game failed, it was a money sink, and in an effort to generate revenue, they decided to get rid of the team and start new. That is simply business, you can't compair anything from 1.0 to anything of 2.0. It's run differently, has a new crew to make decisions, and a completely new style. Now, if you went in and said all the things they said about 2.0 to now, that would be much more relevant. There are a great many things they said they would do, and then did not since the re-release. After they were caught with their foot in their mouths, they no longer try to make too many statements about the future of the game. It would be safe to assume your novus work will NOT be reset for the simple fact that it's purposely a long quest that even a new person to the game will have to put a lot of effort to maximize, it's customizable, which gives any player a connection to a work of art that THEY created to fit THEIR style of gameplay, and it WILL be the BiS at some point. The game is still in it's infancy stage. Expect to see a lot of changes, balancing, and redesigning (on a smaller scale than the 1.0 to 2.0).

I'm very happy they went with letting us customize the stats. As for eventual BiS, I think it's a bit premature to predict at this current time. It won't bother me if it's not BiS; I'd only be bothered if they discontinued/ended Relics and introduced a new category to replace it for future progression. Regardless, I love my Curtana and will continue to work on making it into what I myself want in the future.

Um... excuse me? I never said I think they're going to reset it? All I was saying is we literally have no way to tell what will be BiS in the future. I was even trying to say I support your statement about relic reflecting the player's style of play.
