    paladin novus stat questions

hi im a fairly new player who just got to his novus and i have 6 points in accuracy so far
so i was wondering everyone says i should cap accuracy
but i dont know what to cap after that
i hear some people saying det and i hear some people saying parry

can someone please tell me what they think the best stat spread is for a paladin

    thank you

Parry needs a lot of points to have a decent impact and our gear already has a lot Parry.
Determination is a good choice but it'll cost you a LOT of gils if you want to max out.

For me, I did capped Parry and Accuracy for Shield.
On Sword, Crit and Deter up to the last tier III materia, and the rest on accuracy.

I used to be big on parry, mostly due to a main tank in the main raiding group of my old FC emphasizing how important it was. But over time I've come to care less about it, ACC and DET seem to be the best choices imo but as mentioned DET is expensive which has halted the progress of my novus.

Go 44 parry/31 accuracy. If you want some determination on there, do something like 34 parry, 21 accuracy, 20 determination. That'll mean you won't need any Savage Might IV and only a few Parry IV.

Or... how about 15 crit, 15 determination, 23 parry, 22 accuracy. That'll be super cheap. Only TierII crit/determation and a couple TierIII parry/accuracy.

Don't listen to people that say you need 44/31 for any weapon. Let them spend 20-30M on a weapon that will only be upgraded (and those stats likely negated) in the next patch.

I personally went 38 Parry/37 Accuracy to provide a good balance between the two stats with minimum use of Grade IV materia. This requires 27/26 on the Sword and 11/11 on the Shield. However, these stats aren't Crit or Det so obtaining Grade IV's probably won't break your bank. Hopefully!

I went with capped Determination + Accuracy on sword, then capped Determination and Critical Hit Rate on shield. Just my personal choice for how I wish to orient my PLD. Thankfully I spirit binded most of my materia and finished back before T4 prices got crazy. If I were starting now, I'd probably distribute stats with some crit on sword to lessen costs.

Actually in either questions to the producer, or maybe a letter from the producer, but the explicitly stated that the hard work you put into novus would not be reset at all. So ignore all these nay sayers that don't know otherwise and build how you want to build it.

Best for Current content? 22acc,22crit,31det (cheaper alternative would be 26 acc, 26 crit, 23 det)

Best for future proofing IMO 44acc,31det

Best for progression 44acc, 31 parry

    Best for Casual/Slow progressor 44crit 31 det

Future proofing I always recommend capped ACC for tanks. We have the highest ACC requirements. It will also allow the use of Coil3 gear with unknown stats right away.

It allows the maximum flexibility as you regear to the new cap.
