No, I didn't. You'll be going into Coil 3 with armor bought with whatever the new tomes are and whatever you pulled out of turn 2. You're still going to be over cap for turn 3 if you drop a ton of ACC into your Novus. But well, whatever.

I chuckle at the "future proof" comments. There will be updated gear, updated food, and you'll have more acc than you ever need all the time.

Those are both assumptions I'm not willing to take. At the very least, I know NOW what I can put on my Novus/Nexus. I do not yet know what are going to be my choices on armor from 2.4 and beyond. Starting with the weapons will give me more freedom of choice of the remaining slots which I will NOT have a control on what stats there will be on.

Nope. The ACC on my Novus allows me to wear HA body over Noct. After months of clearing Coil2 I still don't have legs. Relying on RNG is not a smart move, especially when comparing secondary stats. ACC also allows flexibility. How many tanks do you see wearing HA head? Compared to Noct it is garbage, but they wear it to hit ACC caps.

ACC allowing gear flexibility is very important for new content, even the new tome gear will be locked behind a weekly limit. (1 week for most items, 2 weeks for body and legs)

ACC when put to use has much more value then any other secondary. 31 Det is what 1-2 dps in tank stance, 3-4 out? 44 crit is about the same. Worst case you are capped and using Truffles. Best case you are swapping in superior pieces while going through gear progression.
