Well, I can't say I have ever heard of dodging and acceptable in society in the same sentence. Maybe you think how to beat boss x is somehow needed for social interaction.
I will help you understand what it means by teaching.
And it's the parents that does that. Or should do it.a continuing process whereby an individual acquires a personal identity and learns the norms, values, behavior, and social skills appropriate to his or her social position.
So.... you consider this game a job?i see people saying ... game is same as real life ..... come on ... if that true so i totaly want to apply as teacher and tell the student : "HEY lazy people! your wasting my time teaching you stuff when there is plenty of guide at library and video on youtube to learn it ..come back to school when you already know the stuff cos i dont like giving advice for exam"
Yes, but now go out to town and teach random stranger number 3. You have no obligations to a stranger. Yet you do have some to family members, and a lesser extent friends.but me im not those people since im teaching my wife french
And I will say it again, I have nothing against teaching someone. As long as they have shown that they are willing to learn, and not somehow believes it's the obligation of others to teach them. It's something optional and should not be expected outside of LS/FC really.

what wrong with that some consider game as real life ... like if i would kill a monster and heal people in real life .. why not say in game no sorry i dont raise you or heal you in real life as doctor i get paid for that .... duhhh
i do that alot at work(store - im not paid to teach) i meet alot of foreign student or touriste who dont know the language well or at all ..i help them i dont tell them "go out of this country and come back when you'll learn it well" ... i help them tell them how its call in my language ..and i got plenty of friends and get new people as friend who want to learn my language but i dont want to be teacher (paid job) its just for fun and help ..when i ask something of their country or language they return the favor.
its the thing in the game too ... helping people without being a mean player will turn good i saw people who i meet in other instance that i helped and they got strong fast that they were the one who helped me by returning favor. that how you built a community ..not by saying get out and come back when you good or i will kick you and blacklist you .... best way to make friend??

You aren't having a discussion with players who are interested in the entire experience of playing an mmo. You are having a discussion with players who see only the completion of a piece of content as worth their time, and the other people in the party might as well be NPCs to them. There is no reasoning with such individuals, but I enjoyed reading your post.
The only thing you're teaching here with the attitude you have is how to be a Grade A Tool in game when other people need help with things.
When someone asks me at random... "Can you help me with something?"
I reply with.. "I'll do what I can if I know anything about the subject"
I dont reply with.... "What? Google not working today dumbass?"
If someone needs help, they get help, I dont care what the basis is for them needing it or whether or not they looked online first or not.
Its a social game, despite the massive amount of "Hooray for me and screw you!" players that seem to be around. I dont intend to be one of them.
And I made some awesome friends that way in FFXI. This game is kind of different. You have to repeat a dungeon so many times, that you can get frustrated even if the run goes OK. I kind of can see how easy it is for someone to lash out at someone because of this. If you have to run something over, and over and over again, then add onto that that they might have explained it 50+ times.
Anyway, I did not say I had anything against teaching someone. I only got a problem with those that think it's something that the older player must do. It's completely optional for anyone to teach another player.
I don't know if you skipped my first post, but got kinda upset at Teirshin post about how selfish it is for the 3 players not wanting to teach, but it's completely OK that the 1 player expects someone else to do the work for him. That was pretty much everything my rant was about.
I know me that sometime when a person enter the dungeon and say "im new what to do" is kinda harsh but me i been in some dungeon who i only say "first time here" to show it my first time and people get piss off and kick me when i didnt ask for anything i wanted to learn by doing it ...i rarely ask what to do i notice the mechanic easy. so i wonder why do we some people generalise that new people are forced to watch video when some prefer to learn without asking advice but if we give some to them without they ask they will be happy and enjoy the game.
i did T1-T4 (when it was week lock) with FC.. with raidcall ...and got to tell you something i got more fun and laugh not seeing video and some saw it and with advice still get wipe for little thing but still laugh about it and have fun.. than get piss off after few wipe and leave ....
and sometime in Dungeon without knowing they can end up with someone who Lag .. he get wipe and all get wipe ...they will get piss off at the player for that ?? and kick him cos of that too???
and i do in dungeon get some party(all first timer) who when we get wipe by suprise ..we are like :" O.O WTH was that" , "OMG!!" , "didnt see that coming" and laugh about it ..and try again .. but when we are with the SR .. its Hello and silence till we get " you ***** damn **** learn how to play you *****" the player left the party ..... but if the person is at lvl 50 with his character in a lvl 50 dungeon cos he normaly learn it unless he speed lvl it in fate ... but normal new player playing on main learned all dungeon till dungeon 50 right ?
You shouldn't be scared of Turn 5, the echo made a lot of its mechanics much simpler to handle and I feel you may just be overthinking it. I've had several people return to the game and we would get them a clear within 2-3 attempts, although this is with 5-6 people having cleared the fight before.
Fireballs/conflags can be simplified to "run under if you get blue" or "huddle up if you get red" now that the echo will give you enough hp to survive a 3-person fireball hit and some groups may in fact kill the conflags before the fireball actually lands meaning if you run in you will get murdered. Neurolinks is simply "run into the one the tank is not in after the snakes are dead". Twisters is "Stay out of the middle and away from others, run in a circle for twisters, heavy adds". Final phase is "run around the perimeter if you get targeted for Liquid hell, someone stays underneath twintania to eat eggs".
I think people in this game are just terrible at explaining things without talking for 15 minutes so they assume a new player will waste that much time. Literally every 4-man dungeon boss can be summarized in 2-3 lines.
I was in a DF moogle party two days ago (that ended up winning after 3 attempts, it was amazing) with a new tank entering blind and the other tank took like 10 minutes to explain what could probably be summarized as "Only worry about your moogle. Focus target the king, provoke the king when my target gets to 3 stacks. Keep the king away from the archer and thf." I know there's a few more mechanics but that's really the bulk of a tank in that fight.
I mean I appreciate the other tank explaining it (and gave him the commendation for his patience) but summarize it a bit haha (and yes I'm aware this is a lengthy post!)

The only one that seems to have some expectation of what others should be doing here is you. I doubt anyone goes into an event blind expecting that everyone else will explain the entire encounter to them. In the same vein as what you said in the above quote, it could be considered selfish that some players expect others to compile information just so they don't have to spend time giving a short explanation. Selfish is fairly subjective term. Bottom line is that DF is the public realm, when you enter the queue you do so knowing that there will be players of varying skill levels and degrees of experience. If the group you end up in is so intolerable, you always have the option to leave.
