SE Forgot to Add YouTube as a Requirement on Game Packaging/System Requirements?

So,

I just got out of Hullbreaker Isle via Duty Finder. I had two new people in my group who were new to the game and running this instance for their very first time. One was the tank, and the other was another DPS.

Everything was going okay till we got to the second and final bosses. The healer started complaining about these two new players. By the final boss, we wiped a few times because they were unaware about what to do with their green markers. He began freaking out on them using profanity and racial remarks. The one remark that stood out the most, however, was regarding his view of YouTube. He basically said "LEARN TO WATCH YOUTUBE PRIOR TO RUNNING ANY INSTANCES AND WASTING MINE OR OTHER PEOPLES' VALUABLE TIME" before he ragequit.

After he left, we obviously won with the new healer rep and myself clarifying what to do.

I didn't realize this game is so heavily reliant on YouTube videos now even for the easy dungeons. Whatever happened to actually learning and enjoying the game's surprises from scratch as opposed to ruining the experience with a tutorial video beforehand. I can understand for Coil, but Hullbreaker Isle? Seriously? LOL.

Should SE add YouTube as a requirement to the game's packaging and website information now? I feel bad for these new players.

To all experience players, please don't forget that you were once new to the game, learning instances the hard way without any clue how mechanics worked the first time and wiping over several times - be it in Coil, Primal X or random Dungeon X. Help your fellow new players. It takes the same amount of time typing out what to do as it would spamming my poor chat log box with your racial slurs and F bombs.

For the new players, please don't be afraid to state that you are new to the instance either.

I think it's more that the quality of people has gone downhill. You don't blame the tool, it's nothing on its own. It's the person using the tool that ultimately decides what the tool does.

Except I can. I think everyone here can agree that gaining levels in FFXIV is cakewalk and most dungeon runs are as well. This leads to a "Player expectation" of everything in the game being "Fast and Easy". Even I myself, who knows this gets annoyed when a run doesn't go as fast and easy as it usually does but I can't blame myself solely due to the fact that the game has shown me that things should be "Fast and Easy" up to this point.

So it boils down to a 50/50 blame. it's half SE's fault for making the game "easy mode" just about everywhere and its the players fault for "expecting" everything to be "easy mode".

To be honest, I kinda look at the situation from a "glass half full" perspective. While it is attractive for these mouth breathers, it's also a form of bait for people like me to use that will find ANY form of harassment, racism, etc to be a tool to use against said mouth breathers. Sometimes, that might require a bit of provoking to get them to say exactly what I want, but I think of that as refining an art. I guess that's just making the best of a situation lol. It's literally impossible to (legally) prevent these bad natured people from doing what they do, so why not use their own remarks against them.

Because there's people out there that think their own time is WAY more important and valuable than everyone else's. If these people have to spend one minute longer than what they deem worthy of their time, they rage and take it too far to the realm of using awful language toward players, slurs and insults.

lol, its the same for all MMOs. Its funny, because there are videos out there on how to beat practically every single remotely popular video game out there. Yet MMO's are not only the one genre where its not considered cheating, but its an unspoken requirement to do so.

This is the only MMO I've played where that's true, and it's partly the community, but also partly bad design (particularly in the case of hard fights).
