I'm not saying everyone should kill Hunts whenever they find them, I'm saying there should be a middle ground. Currently if you don't partake in the massive zerg rush (which some console players simply can't, I'll remind you) you're effectively punished unless you intend to solely get i90 out of it. Gods help you if you want that vanity gear.
On my server, there is an LS that people can drop in and out of when they join a hunt party where all members report spawns as they happen. It's easy enough to get into, and I don't have an issue handling the zerg. I'm certainly not a "casual" player when it comes to gaming, but I typically get between 200 to 300 seals a week depending on how much I feel like doing hunts. A hardcore player is someone who invests a sizeable chunk of his time gaming. It does not refer specifically to a single game. Personally, anyone getting 700 seals a week is someone I pity greatly because that is NOT a fun way to spend your time.

Also, you didn't read my post. The OP was suggesting that everyone just kill A ranks without announcing their locations, at which point the entire hunt system would crumble because its a challenge built on social networking.

Not really. It was meant to get people to socially network with one another to find the hunts. The most effective means of doing that is working in a large LS collectively to locate and find them.
