Chocobo Dye Experimentation

I'm trying to get slate grey. I was at goob grey and fed equal amounts of deepening fruit until proc. I ended up with Adamantoise green. Which is quite close to slate grey on the number chart. I fed some additional pears until proc again. Hoping it will be slate.

Welp, my bird has continued to ping back and forth between Apple Green and Celeste Green;

so my berries and pears finally grew and so i was able to keep going. here's my full path so far:

i'm headed towards morbol green. oddly, with feeding berries, the green values went both up and down. currently, i had to feed my chocobo 8 pears to get the next feathers growing message. alinah's chart doesn't have green lines from raptor or seafog blues, but i'm expecting turquoise or adamantoise green.

Snapped and fed my bird four proc's worth of berries;

Starting Colour - Apple Green
5 berries and four procs later
Results - Sky Blue

. . . well at least its something new? I'm heading for Adamantoise Green, it looks like it's going to take a while.

After landing on Bark Brown a second time, I fed 2 pears, got the new feathers message and ended up on Mud Green.

So Recap. I went Rolanberry Red + 3 Pears > Regal Purple + 8 Pears > Bark Brown + 1 Apple > Regal Purple + 1 Pear > Bark Brown + 2 Pears > Mud Green .

I just keep finding every color except the one I actually want. My First Post with all my experimentation recorded.

Just got the message from Berries #2.. so Mud Green + 2 Berries = ??? (shall find out in the morning)

Does anyone recall what was the maximum amount of the same fruit reported to proc single "new feathers" message? I am trying to decide if I should try 30 O'Ghomoro berries if I manage to get back to Royal Blue.

There you are with a real possible way now. Because thanks to Anonymoose, we know how to get to Russet Brown now.

Thanks to everyone, finally obtained the color I wanted : Chocolate Brown! Why this weird color? Simply because my Chocobo's name is "Chocolat" since 1.0 (not a mistake, it's the french word for chocolate)

Here are the steph I followed :
Got to Blood Red by feeding apples, those steps are already known.
Blood Red + O'Ghomoro Berries = Dalamud Red
Dalamud Red + O'Ghomoro Berries = Rolanberry Red
Rolanberry Red + Mamook Pears = Regal Purple
Regal Purple + Mamook Pears = Russet Brown
Russet brown + Xelphatol Apple = Chocolate Brown

Storm blue rage! Trying to get to storm blue. I've read all the posts, looked at the chart, and experimented. I seem to be stuck in a loop!

Othard blue + Apple = Royal blue
Othard blue + Berries = Royal blue
Royal blue + Pear = Othard blue
Royal blue + Plum = Othard blue

Anyone have a suggestion? Because I'm lost.
