Chocobo Dye Experimentation

so my chocobo is sitting at Apple green, and im trying to get it to hunter green after several failed attempts. can anyone give me some advice please.

I wanted Shadow Blue for my chocobo. On my first few attempts I landed on plum purple and regal purple. Next feeding I got Royal Blue then while trying to darken the blue I landed on Abyssal Blue. So I decided to feed it one pineapple to lighten the blue shade rather than darken and got my Shadow Blue. So I would say the shadow blue should be charted somewhere between the Royal Blue, Abyssal Blue, and Regal Purple. Maybe even above the Gloom Purple, though I never landed on that specific shade while trying for my Shadow Blue.
