Chocobo Dye Experimentation

After several failed color attempts using the old spreadsheet thread, I decided to try another tactic based on the feather change theories presented here. The result was a color I'm happy with for my Elezen's chocobo. Posting here, in case it is of use to someone.

Starting Color: Gobbiebag Brown
Snack fed: 8 x Doman Plum for 7 "feathers changing" Messages
Left alone for 6 hours after that.
Result: Celeste Green

I'd really like a slightly more icy blue tint such as sky or seafog blue, but I'm not sure what to try from here and don't want to risk loosing a color I'm mostly ok with for another green or brown.

been following this thread. and I also get access denied on that spreadsheet.

I have now grown 2-3 stacks of all the foods except han lemons. (got those growing now)

I am actually looking to get Calibri Pink - my guess it would be several O'ghomoro berries to darken blue but not sure after that - I know it falls under the category of lighter purple on the RGB scale

I did a Mamook Pear after Royal blue and took me back to Storm Blue

Fed mine 7 mamook pear, which had the 'growing feathers' msg on the 7th, I am aiming for Apple Green. Another friend of mine is going for Lotus Pink, I will have him feed his Apple and Berries.

Stable condition: Good

Color aim: Apple Green
Feed 1: 7 pear

Feed 1: 3 apples

Color Aim: Soot Black < another friend
Feed 1: 3 berries, 1 apple, 1 pear - prediction: bone white (my bet is it's the lighten fruit that will make black) - proc: 3


After I achieve my target color, I will retry the recipe in 1 sitting based on proc. If I can reproduce the result, then it will show that how many proc is needed to reproduce the recipe, rather then based on how many fruit is fed.

my goal is -
Colibri Pink - 215 151 199 -HEX: D7 97 C7

so by my math I need the following changes - R: 0 G: -2 B: +7
if I did my math right that would be 7 berries and 2 valifruit or is it 2 pears and 7 pineapples?

EDIT: I was trying to find the math on prior pages but don't know if it is there - but I was trying to see what the approximate values for each fruit was I know they basically boil down to Red, Green, Blue, Cyan, Yellow, Magenta but didn't know the +/- in which it relates to the hex scale.

We do not have any solid data on the math of how this works.

I am testing this myself using x-apples and see if we can come up with a pattern. There are a lot of discussion going on, and I haven't gone back and scan if anyone is doing the same as I with the green/blue fruits.

I do believe that the one thing we can confirm is when you deepen one scale, you can reverse it with a lighten fruit.
