Chocobo Dye Experimentation

I don't have screenshots since it wasn't my chocobo, but an FC member reports that his very first chocobo feeding ever, which consisted of only Doman Plums to the very first feather proc, yielded Lime Green. I checked his chocobo myself and it is indeed lime green.

Tried to make a bit less "messy", I think it's a bit less at least, hope I didn't miss anything. I might be able to squeeze in a few updates to the map if I got time before I go on holiday

I notice your new chart removes the link between Kobold Brown and Wine Red; is that deliberate or just an oversight?

Decided to push forward. 1 Mamook Pear with feather message from Nophica Green.

I ended up going back to morbol green with the pear. I will be feeding pineapple to go back to nophica green to see where to go from there.

Should give you Morbol Green. After that I used Pineapple to get to Nophica Green

According to Alinah's chart it should bring me to Gloom purple (Morbol Green can be reached via Storm Blue).
But instead I got Storm Blue again (after feeding it a pear instead of a apple as the chart says so I guess it's a new path?).
I seem to be getting a bunch of new paths although not all of them can be used for the chart I think as I've done more than 1 proc per time in the earlier dyeing phases.

Maybe I should just reset it and just feed it Apples before feeding it Berries again D:

Alinah, if you want me to be a guinea pig for you for a bit you'll have to give me some instructions.

I fed it 1 Apple and got a proc again, I'm hoping for Abyssal Blue but I'll probably get Royal Blue again.

Hopefully I can help corroborate the findings so far, and if something goes horribly awry, hopefully you'll at least be able to help meh fix it!

Notes: This stage is a little strange if one assumes that the raw RGB values are of worth, here. From Pumpkin to Sunset, the green decreases as expected, but the red decreases and the blue increases? From an apple? SE's values must be a little different if this is true. Also, another 12 apples down. Doubt I'll make it from sunset (assuming I get sunset) to blood in just 9 from my first planting. <sad meh>

Alright! RNGesus did not strike me down into the Regal loop, which means that unless I become the unlucky sap that confirms the Chestnut Brown path (Could the Twelve be that cruel? I ended up going back to morbol green with the pear. I will be feeding pineapple to go back to nophica green to see where to go from there.

After feeding 2 Pineapple I am back to Nophica Green. I can say with certainty that going Morbol + Pineapple will give you Nophica Green. I decided to feed apples and after the third apple I got the feathers message. Will post results.

Just some updates on my path seem to have skipped two steps in the green path on a one message feed.

I wanted to offer that I tried a recipe someone gave me that they found online for Soot Black. They said that the individual followed 6 (or maybe 8, I forget) steps to get there. I tried them all at once, feeding each fruit in a batch and then seeing what came out. Did it half hopefully and half as an experiment. I got Turquoise Green. It naturally did not work, but thought I would just throw out there that getting to a specific color all in one go may require some experimentation. However, for anyone who wants Turquoise Green and can grow their own veggies, I got it with this recipe. I do not know if it will work again, this is just how I got to it exactly. Curious if someone else would get the same results, but since its such an expensive recipe to follow I'm not really sure I'd encourage anyone to try.

23 apples, 39 berries, 25 pears and 3 pineapples in that order.

I am now experimenting on my own how to get to Soot Black, so I will let you guys know if I get any hits.
