And you know why a "4 mth" old argument is still around?

It is because ppl did try. If ppl just sit around and did nuts, they would have went for other stuff. Since i110 weapons are like candy nowadays.

For me I am still 5/12. I basically just go do other stuff, whenever I am online. I'll do the FATES if I happen to pass by nowadays.

I have FCmates working on second Norvus, I have some with at least 2 ATMA weapons. Myself and some have at least 1 ilv100/1 weapon but no ATMA. And finally a grp that have none.

What you statement basically says everyone that is complaining didn't even try and since "I have mine so as others have, the means those who dont have and complaining are waiting for hand outs."

Snd you see nothing wrong with that and brush it off with.

Actually no, most arguments nowadays are about hunts, not atmas. My guess is those people complaining about it actually pulled up their socks and decided to give it a serious attempt and got theirs.

Here's the thing. Numbers are just numbers without anything to back them up. I could say I got 12 in 1 hour and you could say you got none in 200 hours. Neither of us would be right in that sense. I however ask you to go to Mor Dhona and inspect thirty lvl 50 characters and check what weapon they are using. When I did it just now, 12 out of 30 had were using an atma/animus/novus, 10 had the soldiery weapon, 4 had zenith/base relic and 2 were using HA and 2 were using some other weapon. These are facts that cannot be disputed. Many people already do have their atmas. On the other hand, when people say that they farmed 2000 fates without a single drop, based on what I see I either find it an exaggeration or feel sorry for them if it were true. There have been many cases already where its proven that people exaggerate about the number of fates they done to make a point. Based on the simple theory of probability, the fact that so many people have already gotten their atmas means that the median drop rate (which has been estimated to be 1%) cannot be skewed to one extreme side like you are claiming. If so, you would see only a handful of people having it at the moment. The outliers in either extreme end of the spectrum would be a very very small number.

And you misunderstand me. I never once said they never try. But I also know people who do 2-3 fates, then go do something else for an hour and come back later and they count that as "fate farming" time. I've also seen people that farm fates inefficiently, they stay for the whole fate or they don't teleport. I also told people who were terrified of atmas cause of the horror stories but when they actually devoted time to it they got theirs in a reasonable amount of time. So before you brush me off as being toxic, have you considered all these factors? The reason I don't wish to bring it up again is because there was a thread about it way back and trust me, all these issues have been brought up before so why should I waste my time posting about it again?

I have nothing better to add so I'll rather make a post whining about whining. You deserve a star!

    @_@

Totally possible. I got a full set + another 5/12 (total: 17 atmas) in 20 hours.

RNG is RNG... true, but you know what can help? good karma. i funneled all that i have saved up at the time and knocked my 12 out in 3 weeks, but i think as a result i stubbed my big toe like 200% times normal LOL.

"dont turn red, dont turn red, shit it turned red... gonna be late for work." is the best way to explain it :P horrible attitude about something can affect that something.

I have just did my Omnilex Atma, which is my third relic weapon in the Zodiak questline, in about 3 nights.

Most of the time the FATE is being solo'd by me or just under 5 persons. Certain areas like Black Brush Station/Morbay Drydocks/Camp Overlook are just ghost towns most of the time.

    Night 1, 2 atmas. Night 2, 5 atmas, Night 3, 5 atmas.

My previous 2 weapons are also 2-3 night farming affairs.

Most of the people are like, do a few fates or just gave up after 1-2 hours and count it as a day/night of farming and exaggerate the situation. It isn't that bad, other than the probably 0.001% of the populace who genuinely had extremely bad luck.

Much better than me, I spent several nights, 1-3 hour sessions over about 2 to 2 and a half weeks to get all 12 of mine. I probably spent upwards of 20-30 hours farming for my first Atma.

Second, I hate mincing words, but my hypothesis notes that at the end of the day, it is all RNG based. Based on a significant amount of testing on my end, I've concluded you may be able to significantly increase your "pure" luck. Basically.... instead of rolling a 100 sided die and hoping you'll get 1, 2 or 3. You now get to roll a 5 sided die and hope you get 1. Once again, in my testing, I could've just been very lucky and I'm just pulling stuff out of thin air.
Google- "Atma is RNG Yoshi", top result: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...it-s-just-luck

Hmm your case belongs to the slightly below average luck cases I suppose. During the initial rush, some of the longest per-atma farm ranged about 5-8 hours amongst my friends and FC members and for a full set of Atma, the typical average total was about 40-60 hours.

I've become so cynical about atma's, I believe this entire 14 hour event is just a fake gesture to restore hope in some players that getting atmas is possible. I think they cheated, and that's how they knew it would take 14 hours. I think any result we get from a dev doing this is dishonest and can't be trusted.

I'm almost at 1200 fates and only have 2 atma. This system is broken.

EDIT Watching the stream and the speed of which they were acquired, I'm 100000000000000000000000% positive this whole event was a farce. I don't care how fast he was going through fates, I've done more, and I didn't get them even close to that fast.

What a crock of crap. Lies everywhere. How disgusting they would lie to their players, "Look I'll do it! See! It's not so bad, right? Now you go do it."

And I hate to quote something that's been so overquoted but: "Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain!"

This is so sleazy. I can't believe how tasteless this lie is.
