14 Hour Atma Challenge and Echo Challenge

The very first time Yoshida openly said that Atma drops were pure RNG was back during the Tokyo Super FATE even early in the year, not long after 2.2 was realised. He even called the clock theory occultish nonsense. Since then, he has also mentioned several times in several interviews over the past half a year that that Atma is pure luck.

Once again, sharing info is great. Do you have links to these interviews? Info shared like this, especially on these very forums, I've learned to take with a HUGE grain of salt. Leading up to E3, I remember all this talk of certain reveals. When I later did my research, I learned there was a lot of "phone-tag" happening on these forums.

Second, I hate mincing words, but my hypothesis notes that at the end of the day, it is all RNG based. Based on a significant amount of testing on my end, I've concluded you may be able to significantly increase your "pure" luck. Basically.... instead of rolling a 100 sided die and hoping you'll get 1, 2 or 3. You now get to roll a 5 sided die and hope you get 1. Once again, in my testing, I could've just been very lucky and I'm just pulling stuff out of thin air.

It is a competitive rat race. If it were not, why would non raiders want to do atmas or hunts since they don't need the gear anyway? As much as casuals would like to deny it, they are still motivated by loot.

So they have something to look forward to when the log on? Contemporary MMOs are designed to sustain long term player engagement largely through accumulated rewards and to a lesser degree fostering social connections - though that seems to be much less important these days. Otherwise you can say goodbye to all those filthy casual subscriptions subsidizing the development of hardcore endgame content.

Then work for it? I got my 12 atmas in less than a week and so do a lot of people I know already got their novus. Do you think people who got their novus got them for free? Wanting to have fun and getting gear without having to farm atma. Yeah sounds just like wanting to have gear handed to them.

The problem with this statement is simple. I know quite a few people who finished their atma in 20 hrs or less. I know a lot of people who took 50+ hours to finish their atma I know zero people who finished anywhere near in the middle. some fc members are at 1500+ with 2+ atma weapons done and others are at 2000+ fates with 0 atmas done.

It's weird how some can get all 12 in less than 200 fates and some can't even get 1 in 2000 fates huh.

If se had put a system into place that even had a chance of ever being balance this would be impossible(as math says)

RNG is RNG, some are blessed by it more than others.

The thing that really really confuses me is, why piss on someone who comes up with a theory that may help people who is absolutely stomped by the RNG gods? Someone comes up with a theory that may be complete bunk but at least serves no other purpose than to give the guy who's never seen an atma drop some hope. So why piss on that and make the guy just feel "Welp, this is just never going to happen?"

And saying "sucks to be you" is better? "I got my atma in a weekend, sucks to be you getting one in 3 months!"

o.O False hope it may be, but at least it gets them hopeful and playing instead of giving up and ranting endlessly on the forums.
