No. ARR and WoW compete for some of the same players but they are very different games in some respects. ARR isn't a raiding game really. I've said this many time, it's not what a WoW player would call hardcore and neither is the PvP. WoW caters to a broad range of players from 'casual loggers to the high end have-no-life-a-week-when-a-new-tier-is-released raiders. This is not ARR and those people wouldn't be satisfied here.

Many MMOs in the last few years have tried to emulate WoW and have failed seriously. SWTOR, in place of dragons they have droids but very similar to WoW. They went quasi-free-to-play. Trion marketed Rift as a hardcore WoW. They even used the infamous slogan you're not in Azeroth anymore - yeah, we know and went back to Azeroth. Now they went free to play and reply on rehashes and lottery boxes. Recently Wildstar released and apparently they were founded by former WoW devs. They too went with the hardcore tag but guess what, they picked the worst features of WoW. 40 man raids, attunement chain and the so-called hardcore raids. They're only realising how big a mistake they made now. A few months on and the few servers are felling empty. They just nerfed the raid attunement chain.

After the disaster of 1.0 SE have been cautious with what they do, too cautious but that's my opinion. Most MMO launches go boom and then sharply bust. ARR seems to be stabilising and possibly growing their player base. Just leave it as it is. If vacationing WoW players gravitate to us then let them but don't court them.
