If you never saw it, you wouldn't be able to get a hit in at all, and therefore not any base contribution so the party contribution wouldn't apply to you.
That's a simple fact.

On one particularly bad day Zona Seeker spawned. I got there, never saw the mob, tried to spam Holy where it was supposed to be based on the hoarde, ended up with 0.

Not real sure if your intending to argue my facts with me here, or agreeing with me, because that's exactly what I pointed out.
