The only thing I'd like to change up with my "opening" rotation has to do with B4B falling off right before FT. I think buffed FT > buffed Phleb, so while I haven't practiced it yet, thinking that maybe HT-<IR>-Ph-I-D-<B4B>-C would shift the GCD in my favor to get off that last FT before B4B falls off. Not sure, maybe I just need more skill speed (current 447, 2.4 gcd)

There is no secret high dps opener, look for the rotation I posted and your good. You dont need certain SS or certain crit rate or anything special. You need some gear and thats about it.

So each stat (DET, CRIT, Sk Spd) all add part of a single STR point along with the bonus effect (higher crit rate/faster attacks) correct? I'm messing around with some sets on Ariyala's calculator, and I have a decent amount of DET after shaving off some Skill Speed, but if Skill Speed is worth 0.178 of a STR point, the net loss from Skill Speed is greater than the gain from DET, so is it really with it to shave THAT much Skill Speed? I know it burns through TP faster, but if it also adds some STR, then should I just try to stick to the BiS as calculated by the calculator? Not super good with these calculations yet haha.

It doesn't "add" STR. Secondary stats are a FLAT value. Future endgame, secondary stats will be a lot lower than STR value since STR acts like a multiplier to Weapon DMG and vice versa.

Det, Crit and SkS don't add any STR or anything. They each have their own effect, as described, which directly/indirectly increase dps.

Det increases damage done, physical or magical, as well as HP healed. Crit increases your crit rate. SkS reduces your GCD and cast time for casters.

The stat weights you see floating around are a measure of how much 1 point in these stats increases your DPS relative to 1 point of STR. For example, 1 point of Crit will increase your crit rate a small amount, which will result in increased dps due to an extra Crit over a certain duration. The weight represents how much this theoretical increase is compared to the direct increase granted by a single point of STR.

First of all, thank you both. So if I were to lower the value of Skill Speed in Ariyala's calculator to even lower or even 0 so I can have higher set, it's not a loss in STR then? Also, what is generally considered the low end cap for skill speed, like the minimum you would have it go so that it's not detrimental to your overall rotation? Cause if I drop skill speed to 0 in the calculator, it'll drop significantly and I wanna make sure it's not a detrimental choice since I've misunderstood stat weights apparently.

You can have 0 added SkS and you'll be fine. In fact, I've heard too much SkS will mess up your rotation.

Just make sure you have enough accuracy. After that, focus on Det > Crit > SkS.
