I really don't see how people have a problem with the "I can't marry my own gender!" This is a game where the lore involves men+women...not women+women. Sorry, but if you want same sex marriages, come back to reality and go to Cali.

There's actually a number of NPCs in game that will mention their love/passion for another same-sex NPC, and a bunch of NPCs who will flirt with you regardless of your sex, so the lore actually supports pretty much every option.

Exactly this. So same sex marrage in-game would be totally ok according to lore. My Miqo'te path partner always wants to sleep with me >.>. I really cant see how people can get so angry over this. Just don't go to any weddings!

As I said before, since it is so controversial and SE will end up offending SOMEONE with it's implementation, it may as well just not be put into the game.

SE has people offended simply by exsisting... A few more wont hurt.

Actually, i almost agree with closing this thread. The topic has drifted from allowing it in game to "what makes you gay" far too many times.

the fact is that it won't be just a 1 time thing. Once someone gets married, in the game, they usually flaunt it like they would in real life. My analogy pertains to this more than yours. Yours involves the wedding, mine involves the after effect. If a wedding system is implemented at all, it will split the people in half. If they make it same sex, a lot of straight people are going to be disgusted, but if they make it only for straight couples, the homosexuals will be offended...which is nothing new. Not to knock anyone or anything...but I have yet to see 1 homosexual guy that wasn't a complete pud and is offended by everything -.-

I have 2 gay friends, neither of them act offended by everything . . . Some people are just more easily offended than others, gay or not. like how all these straight people are offended by the idea of homosexuality. . . JUST THE IDEA of it. Quite ridiculous.

And even without marriage, there are plenty of homosexual wordings that go on in game, both NPC and Player.
