Que balance -> Why I might eventually quit FFXIV

I put down FFXIV for about two months now, only picking it back up to peek at the story/content. Why is this?
5+ hour long que / instance waits for DPS.
Verbal abuse as tank / healer.
In a game flooded with DPS I'm still not sure why SE decided to release a DPS class.
Why have a game when you cannot even play it?

Wonder why I never have these issues as Healer? PUGs I get are always chill, and the one or two times someone has had to say something to me its because I wasn't paying attention. In a previous FC one guy was being a big dbag when I was running T2 for the first time, so I just dropped from the group and FC.

The longest I've waited recently was half an hour for expert roulette. Everything else usually pops in about ten minutes.

Also, if you go as a tank or healer and make a mistake, people are usually cool about it if you just own up to it. "Sorry, that was my bad." I've had that happen and still walk out with commendations.

How is tank vs dps vs healers in PvP? (I havn't tried that yet, but perhaps there's some motivation there to build dps classes?)

All classes are fun in PvP cause you can't sit behind your enmity system and you actually have to be smart and have good reaction to things.

One thing I should mention, she plays a ranged DPS, which from my experience have a significantly higher queue time than melee DPS.

Yes, when I queue up on my brd or smn for, say, a trial or main story roulette the same time as a mnk fc-mate queues, his will pop as fast as a healer, while my '5-min' wait time can often be 15.

EDIT: but 5 hours, hyperbole is one thing, but over 5 hours I don't believe.

Longest time I have ever waited for a queue was an hour and a half. However I was talking to some friends and reading forums to pass the time. Generally if it doesn't pop within a half hour for me I withdraw my registration. No sense in waiting longer than that. But DPS is the most played class type in game. If you're queuing as such expect longer wait times. Anything outside of that is either good luck or bad.

Just use the PF or find a Tank or Healer friend to que with you.

5 hours isn't unheard of for some servers depending on your search options. Searching for only English party through duty finder on Aegis can take much longer than 5 hours depending on the content you're queuing for.
