It does not matter if the party is 5 people, 8 people, 6 people, whatever. One party content is group content.

The same bit of content cannot be both group and raid at the same time. They are mutually exclusive. You can have a raid version of an event (raid content) and a one-group version of the same event (group content) but one group content is not raid content.

I see all sorts of people saying "Coil is raid, SE said so!" as the sole reason why Coil, a one-group and therefore group and not raid piece of content, is raid content.

It does not matter that WoW dropped the number of parties in their raids. They are still more-than-one-party events. In FF14, a full party is eight people. Therefore, to be a raid, more than one group of 8 must be involved, else it is group content, not raid content.
Who the hell cares? End game is end game. Doesn't matter wth its called. You are WAY too fixated on such silly semantics.
