I wanted to get back into the game but keep getting an error 406 with 3 different cards. I can't buy Crysta due to being in Australia too. Looks like I am not playing this game again.
Ok.... I used 5 cards, both on Mog Station and on crysta Ultimate Pay solutions...not working..at all. All the places i know ran out of game cards a loooong time ago. My only hope now is that the customer support helps ASAP.

been trying to buy the digital upgrade and a fantasia and I can't but either due to error 401. All support told me to do was go to http://www.findmyorder.com and that didn't find ANYTHING or HELP AT ALL. Just tried buying a fantasia again today and still no go. In fact, I saw this on my transaction history this time.
Explanation, SE? Cuz I'm really fed up with the lack of help and now I have mysterious withdraws from my account from you.
Edit: Can't be a bank issue...because i've been able to pay for food and bills just fine for the month or so this has been going on.
Edit: "like a month", not "more than a month". Tried buying the digital upgrade a day or two after it came out. Been having the issue since then.

I'm trying to renew my sub after I let it expire last year and I keep getting error 401 and then 601. All of my credit card information is correct, there are plent of funds, and I used the card successfully last night at the store.
Am I missing something?
with the £1/$1 bank charge that they take per 'Failed' transaction, do they refund it or do they keep it? I've had 7 of these 406 error codes and just checked my bank and noticed ive had £7 removed from my account as 'tests' and will be very upset if SE arn't going to refund it because I cannot afford to chuck £7 away (especially when I havn't received any kind of product or service from them for this money) thanks in advance for any replies

Last day, my monthly subscrition ended and when was the time for payment there you go...error 406 -.-" tryed for 2nd time (thinking it was an error of page) and again then 3rd time then I stopped cause I thinked was a problem of card (maybe blocked) but when was at bank the miss told me of my card it's actually active, but...to 13 money now result 10 (so 3 tentaive 1 for each try) So I re-put again money and tryed for last time and again error 406 so I contact SE support who told me to wait 24 hours and to not continue the submition payment or will get worst but try with Crysta in alternative (so I tryed with Crysta and try to guess...error 401 -.-") SE support also asked my data and also how many tryies I did for check themself the problem, so I re-send email with my data and the number of times of tryies, the they answered again they'll pass all this to head office and IF they can help they'll contact soon....Now SE are you serious ?!? It's not IF u can help....You MUST help your customers and I don't have words really....now someone know if with Game time card work ? I don't wanna waste my money again !

I'm not sure about the official game time card, but I bought the ultimate game card and it worked just fine. However just buying Crysta seems to be an issue. I tried using paypal which I have the correct amount in there to pay for my purchase but it says Paypal rejects it. According to paypal, its SE's payment system that is rejecting it. So is there any update from Square as to if this problem is being looked at? I just finished my free month, and would love to continue to play but just can't because of this error. I live overseas in South Korea and so I can see why the problem persists, but still I think it's rather dumb that Square hasn't found a solution for customers like me (which I'm sure there's plenty) by now.
Tried four different cards that are both from Korea and the US (which is my native country) and all of them don't work. For some reason the Paypal method doesn't work either. I'll try a few more methods for a couple days (VPN, Smartphone's LTE connection, etc.), but if those don't work then... welp I guess that's the end of FFXIV for me. I don't feel like buying game cards from Amazon, having them delivered to me (which will have added fees no doubt) like some of the other people in my Free Company.
