    And it's hit me too.

    Got e-mail saying payment didn't go through, check my bank account its fine. So maybe something odd happens, maybe you have to re-sub after so long, I dunno. Got error 401 but figured maybe I put something wrong.
    Also to add, this is the same bank account I've used since launch. Had no changes to it, or any other details.
    Nope, nothing wrong my side, spoke to live support, and tried to say I didn't add details right, when clearly I did. I'm not paying for these other methods, as one, shouldn't have to go through hoops, and two, cant trust it to work. Got told I could buy a euro time card, but sorry, this is all on SE.
    It's amazing such a huge company, who have so much money to lose make it so easy to want to give up on them :/

    I have this same problem. I've been waiting 3 days. Managed to get some livesupport assistance which was completely useless.
    Getting impatient waiting for the email from livesupport which was meant to arive "within 24 hours".

    Error 406

    Well it can verify my debit card but yet the payment still doesn't go through. I keep getting error 406 and to contact SE support but well wouldn't you know it their support system is down. And being as I am currently stationed in Japan until August of this year it is extremely inconvenient for me to call. I'd have to wait for 1 am for them to open before I can call due to the time difference. I'd really like to keep playing this game but I am at wit's end on what to do. I've been trying for over a week to get it to go through.

    been receiving an error since the 3rd
    An error has occurred.
    Please confirm the status of any relevant options and then try again.

    (Error code: 406)

    contacted my bank, everything is fine on their end.
    I have tried a several times since the 3rd to re-subscribe (noticing $1 being withdrawn and not cancelled everytime)
    Have had no luck contacting SE. Their support is down since the 24th.
    Quite annoyed.
    Am hoping will receive the money back because i didnt get what i was wanting to buy.
    Ive seen in many different threads that their is a probable suspension on my account (no notification given) for either 24 hours per attempt of said transaction or else a 30 day stand down. If there is any truth to these i would like to know. Still waiting to get in contact with SE support -.-

    I managed to web chat with with support. They have escalated the issue to head office because it is a payment issue...

    This is what i got:
    The 401/601 error relates to an issue processing your payment. We recommend you do not try to register your payment method again as more attempts may cause your card to be blocked on our service for up to 30 days.

    Please note that if you are using the credit/debit card option and have already made 3 attempts or more to make this payment, you will need to wait at least 24 hours before trying again.

    To help us investigate further, we would like you to provide the following information:

    - Square Enix ID
    - The type of card you are using (Credit/Debit, ELV, VISA, MasterCard etc.)
    - The country the card was issued in
    - The country you are currently in
    - The name of the bank that issued the card
    - The number of times you tried to process the payment after you got the initial error message
    After replying i got:
    Ok, I have escalated the issue to our head office in order to look into this further for you
    and then:
    We will be in touch via email as soon as we have more information for you
    Seems kind of scripted to me. As if i were talking to a bot... Nevertheless I await said email

    Do you all guys can use your credit card or you using Time Card 60 days ?

    Im just wondering , is it only me who still suffering from this issue or not ?

    I really want more retainers so once my sub is over and still can't resub with my CC im thinking seirsly of leaving the game till the next patch , hopefully they could fix it in that time .

    I just tried to renew today for the first time, got an error code 406, plenty of money in the account.I just deleted the game, I don't feel comfortable subscribing to a service that charges me for an error code and still leaves me with no subscription. Good bye, square: another lost customer.
