If you really want to play as a thief (which is what rogue is) just don't become a ninja. It's not perfect but I really don't think thief will be implemented into the game. If so it may be 4 years later like musketeer.
"someone disagrees with me, clearly they are trolling"
I cant decide who is worse right now, the people crying because their desired class wasn't announced just this second, or those who are crying because theirs was but not to the minute detail they wanted.
EDIT Because 'lol daily post limit'
Lets look at this realistically here, there is 0 reason to think that rogue wont get Thief skills like treasure hunter, steal, mug, trick and sneak attack. If anyone should be pissed here, its those who wanted ninja, because really its just a thief with 5 ninja skills of questionable usefulness (looking at you blm and brd)

Because I took the time to explain why I wanted a Thief Job and you pretend to not understand me. At this point I'm wasting my time by explaining it to you any further. I don't care if you disagree, but I'm not going to waste more post counts explaining it to you when you never wanted to understand in the first place. I mean I even explained that Yoshi indirectly said there will be no Thief job but you keep trying to twist things as me wanting everything now.

There is literally, LITERALLY, nothing stopping you from playing rogue past 30 beyond the community preconception that classes are worthless and should be abandon for Jobs the second you hit level 30. For the stat boost you lose from not equipping a Job you have near boundless multi-class potential. If you want to keep playing rogue into 50 I say go ahead. Most if not all non-AF/Relic gear is for classes and Jobs anyway so you will still be able to keep adequately geared and with the new high level crafted gear you can even use materia to make up for the loss from not equipping a Job. Wanting a Thief Job is really just want to have your cake and eat it too. I mean, really, a DD class with two DD Jobs... not going to happen.
Fun Fact, you can play look like "Classes" while you playing Jobs
AKA you want to look like Gladiator in Ul'dah's Blood Sand colossus
You just dress colossus armor, round shield and short sword. Done. You are Gladiator! (the fact you are Paladin)
Thief Job, not class.
That would be fine if this was a dress up game with no battle system, stats, skills, traits, job crystals, and weapons. But I didn't think you were serious lol.
Did Yoshi P say that all classes must have one of each job role? Did you know that there will be more than just tank, DD, and healing job roles in the future? There is literally, LITERALLY, nothing stopping you from playing rogue past 30 beyond the community preconception that classes are worthless and should be abandon for Jobs the second you hit level 30. For the stat boost you lose from not equipping a Job you have near boundless multi-class potential. If you want to keep playing rogue into 50 I say go ahead. No, but we also only have one class that has two Jobs, and those Jobs are practically diametrically opposed (arcanist/Scholar, Summoner). The precedent is there, and it really doesn't make much sense, either, to have the Jobs of a particular class fulfill the same role. It forces a choice between one or the other in a game that's all about choice.
